I discovered Ursula K. Le Guin my freshman year of high school (1980) when I watched the public television version of The Lathe of Heaven. Creepy, atmospheric, gripping. I bought the novel, read it, and fell in love with it. Afterward, I bought every Le Guin book I could find.
