On Friday, April 24, 2026, from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM, Police Services, in conjunction with VA CWM Pharmacy, will host the biannual unused medication and prescription take-back day in accordance with the DUMP Opioids Act. Veterans and community members wishing to dispose of their unused medications can drive up to one of our facilities located in Leeds or Worcester (Belmont Street) to obtain a DEA-approved medication disposal mail-back envelope from one of our VA CWM Police officers. Unused or expired prescription medications are a public safety issue. Proper disposal of unneeded drugs saves lives and protects the environment and our overall community. Civilians who cannot participate in VA Take Back Days can use the DEA’s Public Disposal Locations Search Tool to find year-round collection sites. apps.deadiversion.usdoj.gov/pubdispsearch/…

If you are experiencing symptoms and concerned about your health, call VA Health Connect today. It’s always better to check in than to wait. No question is too small. To learn more, visit VA Health Connect website, using the link provided in the description. As always, during a medical emergency, immediately call 911.

If you earned GI Bill benefits, don’t leave them on the table. VA is helping Veterans get more out of their education benefits -- starting with understanding what you’ve earned. The GI Bill can cover tuition, housing, books, and training programs. It can support degrees, certifications, and new career paths. VA offers tools to help you compare schools, understand your coverage, and make informed decisions before you enroll. Whether you’re heading to college, learning a trade, or building your next chapter, visit VA.gov and search “GI Bill.” #Veterans #VA #VABenefits #GIBill
