Richard Stuart blasts Democrats for inserting a “rules for me but not for thee” carve out in their insane gun storage bill. Democrats are openly admitting that their bill inhibits the ability of responsible gun-owners to protect themselves, which is why Democrats created a special carve-out that applies just to members of the general assembly.
Dem Del. @GMcGuireVA: "We know that it's not always true that you need a gun to fight back someone with a gun. Because those hero cadets didn't. Leivu Labrescu, ...didn't have a gun when he selflessly gave up his body to prevent the Virginia Tech shooter from entering his class."

This bill criminalizes the victims of crime. If a criminal breaks into your car and steals your firearm, YOU get in trouble. It was already bad policy, but the Conference Committee made the bill even worse. It specifically exempts members of the General Assembly from the law! It’s yet another example of “rules for thee, but not for me.”
Wonder if @SpanbergerForVA will sign this double standard into law, or if this will be the one gun control bill she vetoes in an attempt to show how moderate she is.
