The possibilities for ATF abuse of this new power are terrifying. Like monitoring everyone who goes in and out of a gun store? Or who visits a popular shooting range? Big Brother much? 1984 is supposed to be fiction.
We’re not fans of ATF purchasing access to this program and will be watching closely how it’s used. GOA & GOF opposed mass surveillance geofence warrants in Chatrie v. United States. ATF's new program sounds even worse — no warrant required to surveil gun owners en masse!

🚨BREAKING🚨 ATF just violated the Tiahrt Amendments for the THIRD time—posting protected gun trace data to our lawsuit’s public docket. ATF still has a gag order against GOA which makes it unlawful for our lawyers or employees to look at, open, or even download the file.
$0 NFA tax = ZERO NFA registration. While litigation on this matter is ongoing, Americans’ tax dollars shouldn’t be used to fund invalidated NFA requirements.
NO MORE DELAYS: Westchester County, NY is forcing citizens to wait until April 2027 to apply for a pistol license. This “appointment” scheme blatantly violates the 2A and NY law. GOF & GOA warned Commissioner Raynor and Sgt. Salvatore: End these delays now or face legal action.

🚨HAPPENING NOW🚨 The House Appropriations Committee is marking up the FY2027 CJS funding bill. This will decide ATF’s budget for the next fiscal year. GOA supports the House's $285 million cut to the ATF's budget plus the many pro-gun priorities in the bill.
