On Monday, SCOTUS hears U.S. v. Hemani—a case that could determine whether Americans who legally use marijuana can be stripped of their 2A rights under 18 USC 922(g). Today on Law & Ammo, Phil breaks down GOA’s amicus brief and why it matters.
In the direct final rule entitled, “Licensee “eZ Check” Verification for Transfers” ATF stated that if significant adverse comments were received by June 5 the rule would not take effect, and ATF would publish a timely withdrawal in the Federal Register. ATF has subsequently received significant adverse comments on this direct final rule and is therefore withdrawing the rule. Effective July 6, 2026, direct final rule 1140-AA61 that was published on May 6, 2026, is withdrawn. #NewEra
