HOOPS: Wolfgang Wood is the new head coach at Cathedral Catholic in San Diego. Wood was 115-66 at St. Bonaventure and led the program to three CIF finals and a CIF State regional final in six years at the helm. Great hire.

Two players have really impressed in a competitive Ventura County All-Star Game so far. Oxnard’s Mikey Duran-Morales and Camarillo’s Jaden Whitehead never get sped up and are so in control the game offensively when they are on the court. Two of the county’s best this year.
