To clear up some lingering questions, the #VGXFoundation has no affiliation with #SafeMoon. We recognize the principle of community-led governance via DAO structures and support the broader movement toward decentralized control when executed with transparency and integrity. @SafeMoon is in the hands of the community and we look forward to seeing where the #SafeMoonArmy takes the project from here.

On November 22, 2024 the VGX Foundation minted an additional 545,521,965 VGX Tokens. No decision to mint new tokens is undertaken lightly. This was done in order to ensure the project’s viability and provide resources for sustainable growth. These tokens have been deployed for a number of essential functions to maintain the smooth operation of the VGX project. To date, approximately one third of the minted tokens have been spent by the Foundation on: marketing-making with major exchanges, legal fees, marketing fees, partnerships and community initiatives, and the repayment of loans. The remaining tokens will continue to be utilized for those purposes. Any discussion of minting new tokens understandably brings concerns of inflationary risk. However, the VGX Foundation undertook rigorous market analysis to make certain that the increase in circulating supply would not equate to a proportionate increase in market capitalization. At the time of minting, these tokens represented 22% of the overall VGX valuation as measured on the day of issuance. However, this was following a 90% decrease in the token’s price over the preceding 8 months. Therefore, the dilutive impact on token holders is minimal. The VGX Foundation is committed to deploying these tokens in a responsible and measured manner. The Foundation’s guiding principle is to preserve and enhance long-term value of the VGX project.
