The craziest thing to me is that they didn't even pass the law. It was inactive, and there is a need to vote for its activation, seemingly. A voting to reject didn't pass, but should it automatically activate the law? Seems "no" is the most logical answer. Everything was decided before that farce of a voting.

But lack of complete rejection should not automatically revive the inactive since spring 2026 law. A farce. Voting seems to mean very very little in EP.

Chatkontrolle ist im EU-Parlament durch. 🤬 Was für ein dreckiges Verfahren. Obwohl nur 276 für die totale Chatkontrolle waren und 314 dagegen, ist es trotzdem durch, weil es für eine wirksame Ablehnung eine absolute Mehrheit von 361 gebraucht hätte. Habe ich das richtig verstanden? Das EU-Parlament hat die Chatkontrolle jetzt einfach so oft abstimmen lassen, bis aus einer knappen Mehrheit dagegen eine knappe Mehrheit dafür geworden ist? Also einfach so lange abstimmen, bis das Ergebnis pro Überwachung ist?
