A top police officer in Delhi slapping a girl in full public view. This must be the defining image of the hubris of the Modi regime

Over 200,000 people gathered outside the White House for a peaceful “No Kings” rally. There was no lathi charge, no tear gas, and no widespread police brutality against the demonstrators. If peaceful protest can be managed that way, why does India so often respond with force? Has India lost the plot?

Tear gas and batons. Suspended metro services and mobile internet. Reported unnecessary and excessive use of force against peaceful protesters. Demonstrators in India were marching towards parliament to demand the resignation of a Union education minister following alleged examination paper leaks that affected millions of students. The Delhi Police responded with violent crackdowns. Indian authorities must ensure that all allegations of unlawful conduct against these Cockroach Party-led protests are promptly, independently, and impartially investigated.

@HelleLyngSvends why is the international media not covering this uprising? These atrocities need to be spread far & loud! This is happening in the country of Mahatma Gandhi, we were the mother of democracy & now we are a step away from fascism, autocracy & emergency! Please help

The only ones not protesting today are the ones benefiting from the system.
