I have gone through courses with professors openly antagonistic to my politics. Get over it. That’s academia. Conservatives can’t handle intellectualism because they don’t believe in it. They aren’t interested in pursuing it at all, but they get mad when there aren’t tenure track positions for people who despise methodology. You can’t have your cake and eat it too

Universities and departments have to be more open to a wider spectrum of worldviews. (That includes viewpoint diversity in departments like economics!) The status quo is not sustainable, and quarantining all intellectual diversity to “Civics Centers” is not a solution either. 10/

It wasnt just that Israel flat out refused to help Ukraine but that they invented fictional reasons as to why not and then subsequently demanded immediate help from the UK when they themselves were unfairly attacked without a hint of irony or shame.

i recommended to Benjamin Netanyahu’s government that he help Ukraine. Isreal declined saying they didn’t want to upset Russia. So Russia kept spending nearly $1bn+ on Iranian drones. Now ordinary Israelis have to face the consequences of Netanyahus judgement . Since the invasion of Ukraine Isreal has welcomed all the dirty Russia money and crooks. A sad decline for a once decent Country.

The PRC is the US’s most formidable rival and all you get is just nonstop whining from the ruling class. It’s just very different from how the US responded to the USSR after Sputnik (passing civil rights laws, STEM funding, and etc). Today’s political talent just doesn’t compare.
