Yesterday’s Metro v Somerset game ended in a draw, 21 overs were lost to rain, @MetroVISports 147 All Out, Somerset @VICricket 97/4. Rob Crisp scored 60 not out & took 3-16 as Somerset threatened victory.

In a phenomenally close finish Somerset @VICricket beat @MetroVISports by 4 wickets from the penultimate ball of the match to progress to the quarter finals of the BCEW David Townley Memorial Twenty20 Cup. Rob Crisp & Ed Hossell put on 114 for the first wicket.

This weekend @MetroVISports face Somerset @VICricket in a National League & Twenty20 Cup double header at South Park in London. Saturday is the league game, Sunday is the T20 Cup First Round clash.

Congratulations to Somerset @VICricket who have played superbly today to lift the BCEW David Townley Memorial Twenty20 Cup for the third time, following their previous wins in 2014 and 2018.
