@Samwyri Interesting how airtel travel is so normal and cheaper in Lodwar. Just 10 years ago, Lodwar was smaller than Moroto. Meanwhile our Airstrip in Moroto is a bush.

Btw, the amount given to Kasuku and his friends is able to fix Kasese airstrip to be fully functional to the level of Lodwar in Kenya. Most of them cost $2M. Sharing this just to show how much we keep throwing but can’t fix the basics of tourism.

@fobita They took the lagoon last year, to build apartments. The whole swamp is gone. The slum- all those security guards you see around Ntinda leave there. And many more.

Urbanisation needs to be checked. The rural is getting fused into the urban. Complete mess. Slums are emerging in places that should have stayed green and protected. I couldn't believe the size of the slum that I discovered exists between Ntinda's Ministers' Village and Kyambogo University. That vast green swampy area is gone. Even what used to be the Lagoon now has a huge mall structure nearing completion.
