One Petroleum and all implicated officials, including the Cabinet Secretary, must take responsibility for their errors of commission and omission. Why was One Petroleum allowed to import fuel before the exemption was formally granted, while Oryx Energies a company required to deliver KEBS compliant fuel by the 25th was sidelined and its last minute contract cancelled? One Petroleum operates outside the G2G framework, yet it was given preferential treatment instead of conforming, transparent suppliers. This is not negligence; it looks like deliberate sabotage of standards, pricing, and public safety. Kenya must get full disclosure: dates, names, and approvals. No more burying fuel scandals under technical jargon and political spin.
