Who’s a good dog? They wag their tail” “It’s a kind of jestermaxxing” “What?” Some Brazilians say this mentality is less common now - in some cases replaced by healthy self-regard, in some more extreme cases it has flipped into a sort of extreme Lusotropicalism-maxxing anti-westernism. Others will say it is still very pervasive in the country though, all the middle class Brazilians want to travel to France and Italy and so on. Interesting psychological feature of Lusotropicalism either way Anyway I love Brazil 🇧🇷

Desculpe meu português, é muito básico, mas vou tentar. Conheço muito bem a sociedade francesa; metade da minha família vive na França e eles são franceses. Eles acreditam ser muito superiores aos outros e têm um nível de orgulho muito elevado. Lá existe um ditado para pessoas que se acham superiores, que define perfeitamente os próprios franceses: Ils croient qu'ils peuvent péter plus haut que sont cul. Eles ainda não se deram conta de que precisaram inventar uma lenda negra contra aqueles de nós que um dia dominamos o mundo, e isso os faz se sentirem inferiores.

Elle est issue de sa structure militaire intégrée en 1966. Ce fut l'un des affronts diplomatiques les plus célèbres de la Guerre froide. Le président français de l'époque, le général Charles de Gaulle, était un fervent défenseur de la souveraineté nationale. Les raisons de son retrait de la structure militaire étaient les suivantes : Indépendance nucléaire : il ne souhaitait pas que la dissuasion nucléaire française dépende des États-Unis (la fameuse Force de Frappe). Souveraineté : la présence de troupes étrangères (américaines) stationnées sur le sol français sous commandement non français le préoccupait. L'ultimatum : en 1966, de Gaulle adressa une lettre au président Lyndon B. Johnson, déclarant que la France reprenait le contrôle total de ses forces armées et ordonnant le départ de tous les quartiers généraux de l'OTAN de France (le siège de l'OTAN dut être transféré de Paris à Bruxelles).
