@JustonStewart Part of the devs that were layoff in 2024 said that the upper managment aka pete parsons and his squad were just chasing trends, they beg to expand this game outside the extraction shooter mode, but they didn't care because they wanted an easy cash grab and low cost to maintain.

Hot take. I know as consumers, we can feel a bit entitled to enjoy things, but telling artists what to make is just not the way to go about it. Bungie clearly wanted Marathon to be VERY different from Destiny. Asking for Destiny features in Marathon seems backwards.

@isolatedrook Toxic positivity has done far more damage to the game than any of the steam charts guys. 85% of the player base that bought the game day 1 already quit the game in less than 2 months and it's not because "weirdly manufactured hate"

Marathon is a great game buried under weirdly manufactured hate. The quality, fun and polish are right there if people would just look.

As brain-dead as the steam chart spammers are it really does make me sad that more people aren't playing Marathon. Underrated isn't even the right word, it's just artificially hated which is just a bummer.

Marathon is a victim of 4 things:
1.Sony’s live service reputation.
2. Bungie’s D2 baggage.
3. Online grifters who's most played game is steamdb player charts.
4. The playtests were terrible.
The game itself is genuinely one of the best shooters in a decade.

@VOLTAX19 @Ziegler_Dev just an experiment to see how it would go, not a full pve but cryo could be a big raid, keep the seperate spawns but have middle as a sort of meetup to talk/converse with other teams. some people go in looking for a couple things, make trades with others and share.

@Ziegler_Dev Im a dad, I don’t have infinite time to play and when I do yeah I wanna play some pvp but not for the whole time, sometimes I wanna unwind and looting/doing quests feels calm when I don’t have 100 nades in my ass. Always loved comp/trials in d2 but those were just modes.

@GamerHijabi Yeah, I like Marathon. I like the OG Marathon trilogy, and Myth, and Halo, and of course Destiny. I think Bungie makes good stuff for the most part. I think you're just a crack addict whose spiteful that Bungie isn't supplying you as much dope with Destiny anymore.

Why am I blocked by this guy? I spent $100 for Edge of Fate on Playstation. I have been playing Destiny 2 since the beta. I am one of the few people left making Destiny content. I am wearing Destiny 2 socks. And I am blocked by the community manager. I don't think I have ever interacted with this guy and yet he went on a blocking spree? I am not the only one. So very inclusive of you.

Some days are incredibly difficult.
