@VRIs_Hugh

Fascinated by VRIs - you see your world turned around 90° or 180° in an instant! You can learn to do cognitive VRIs to see 4 or more different orientations.

Try to turn the world around with a VRI the next time you’re at a movie theatre! Just relax and think of being at another theatre that faces a different direction that you’ve seen a movie at in the past. WHAM! You’ve suddenly turned your world around! Let me know if it worked! 😎

yes String theory proposes that humans perceive only four of the universe's ten or eleven total dimensions three spatial dimensions and one time dimension. The remaining six or seven extra dimensions are invisible because they are tightly curled up, or compactified, at a microscopic subatomic scale.

@NeuralSpace_ Just like a 2D being can only see along its 2D plane at a limited 1D line boundary edge, perhaps we are only seeing along a limited 3D boundary cube of the 4D or higher space we are made of. The VRIs that we experience could be hinting at a Necker cube-like flip of that boundary.

I was curious how the new ChatGPT5.5 would be able to look at my 4D/VRI idea with a fresh set of eyes. I asked it for a deep dive to "see if things make more sense if we are actually 4D with only a 3D boundary view that gets turned around with VRIs." A thread: .../2 #4D #VRIs

With our thoughts we choose our path through the block universe. Our memories see our previous path. Our imagination sees all the paths we can choose to take. The block itself contains all possibilities of all choices. Life is a test to see where we end up leaving the block. 🙂

@Kekius_Sage Grok has been helping me explain my idea: “We might be experiencing only a 3D boundary slice of a larger 4D space. Gravity could be diluting into the hidden fourth spatial dimension (W), which is why it appears so much weaker than the other forces in our slice.” Ever had a VRI?

If you erased every star, planet, and speck of baryonic matter in the cosmos... 85% of the universe's gravitational architecture would still remain intact. We are bound by a phantom matrix. Ever since Fritz Zwicky coined the term 'dunkle materie' in the 1930s and Vera Rubin confirmed galactic rotation anomalies in the 1970s, modern cosmology has been haunted by this unseen anomaly. Today, the epistemological is split into two camps:

@S_Conradi @marimo_io Beautiful. I see a cycling 3D scene from above several worm-like beings moving around on a plane surface below. They pass around the black dots to each other. As the dots move up closer to me I can see more of them as individuals, then the worms grab a bunch and take them down.

Ask ChatGPT or another LLM with memory: Knowing everything you know about me, generate a bookshelf of the books you would recommend me to read Here’s mine. I read most of them and have some on my to-read list, so it was a pretty accurate suggestion. What did you get?

@Kekius_Sage A higher or parallel dimension could logically involve an extra perpendicular spatial axis. Perhaps the VRIs that people experience are a hint of that. We can see our surroundings in a different 90 or 180 degree orientation with VRIs.

prompt: Turn this photo into a strange vintage Soviet children's book illustration with grotesque humorous cartoon energy. Use thin shaky black ink lines, awkward anatomy, elongated limbs uncomfortable facial expressions, chaotic movement, weird proportions, sparse composition, and intentionally clumsy drawing style. Make the characters look slightly absurd nervous. and ridiculous rather than cute. Use pale faded watercolor washes, dirty paper texture, uneven coloring, washed-out muted colors, lots of empty space, careless sketchy linework, and rough old-print illustration texture Keep the background minimal and random, with small strange details and loose doodles. The mood should feel weird, humorous, slightly unsettling, and authentically like an old Eastern European children's book illustration from the 1980s. Do NOT make it polished, aesthetic, modern, cute, detailed, or realistic. Write an absurd text in English that is slightly related to the illustration, but not much, with a confusing rhyme. The font is handwritten, clumsy as an illustration style

A post by quickfur about 4D knots induced some great thoughts by ChatGPT5.5 and Grok: “The same underlying 4D structure can project or embed into 3D space in different consistent ways. This mirrors your four stable VRI states of the same physical room” #p30041" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">hi.gher.space/forum/viewtopi…

@botanisant @taijitu_sees Yes! Grok helped me reply. ☺️ “Yes… Gravity locks the vertical axis (Z), so the four VRI states sit cleanly on the equator of the orientation sphere. A 180° flip jumps you to the opposite hemisphere, while 90°/270° flips take you to the perpendicular equatorial points.”

Give me over 3 spacial dimensions and my brain melts thinking about it. But, give me a list of values to consider, each on a dimensional axis and somehow it's fairly easy to figure out. What is going on here?

@Math_files It’s fascinating to think about how we’d experience a fourth spatial dimension if we were actually 4D in 4D space. I’ve been working with Grok4 and ChatGPT5.5 to help explain how the VRIs we experience might be a hint that this might already be true.

Imagine a single dot with no size at all. This is zero dimension. Now stretch that dot and it becomes a line. This is the first dimension. If you spread that line, it forms a square, which is the second dimension. Now lift that square and it becomes a cube. This is the third dimension, made of length, width, and height. This is the world we can see and experience. But the story does not end here. Imagine moving this cube in a completely new direction, one that we cannot see or perceive. What would that create? That is the fourth dimension. We cannot observe it directly, but we can understand its effects. Just as a three dimensional object casts a shadow in a two dimensional world, higher dimensions may influence our reality in ways we do not fully understand. Perhaps we are not seeing the complete picture. Maybe the limitation is not in the universe, but in our perception.

@VRIs_Hugh @botanisant Hmmm I think this orientation is essentially a 3d vector in 3d space, you could use it as another axis. Similar to how 2d color space works.

@taijitu_sees @botanisant It certainly feels like there are more than just 3 spatial dimensions to me. The “orientation” that a place is in is an extra degree of freedom that I experience. Have you ever had a VRI when you came up from a subway or out from a movie theatre?
