I love Valve. Not counting the trip to Seattle for the Index Launch, I love Valve Customer Support. My 1st gen Steam Deck had a swelling battery. It's 3 years old. I asked support where I could order a good battery and they asked me to send it in. They fixed it!
thinking a lot about my first time and spectacular fail at launching a business, Reboot Imagine LBE Services & Support.
That idea crashed and burned pretty spectacularly and gave me a front-row seat to what rapid financial loss and emotional, economic distress really feels like. I often wake up in a cold sweat, dreaming about how I narrowly avoided going homeless and being stranded from my hometown over 3000 miles away..
But fuck it, we ball! 🏀 and I got right back to building something new, I guess it’s safe to say that it’s in my DNA to simply Reboot if I’m forced to do so, and I have a billion other ideas in the tuck that if need be. I can’t / won’t be stopped. 👊🏽
I’ll Reboot as many times as I have to..
@gingasvr I ordered $2800 of 3d printing filament and if it had arrived in April, I would have had to pay $3850 for 145% tarrifs. The next day it dropped to 30%, $825 but the company took it back. Thanks TACO
got a package today from China for a VR tech device I’m reviewing… I had to pay 60 bucks on delivery from ups because of an import Tariff.
Can someone please clue me in on why my small tech device from a company in an Already globally NICHE field NEEDS to be Tariffed!? #wtf#vr
I became a Meta Affiliate several months ago. Here is a list of Meta discounts, including Ray-Ban Meta glasses and bHaptics vest along with 10% discount on most Meta Quest games.

@gingasvr I think its going to be great, (I hope they invite me up to the launch party accidentally again) PCVR is for the elite. Get them in with a Quest, (I know alot of people who do not have a VR Ready PC). The low cost of entry gets them in and then they upgrade to PCVR.
I’m disappointed the Valve Deckard is apparently going to be a standalone headset.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the only way the VR industry actually moves forward in meaningful ways is if people focus on PCVR.. THEN port to mobile.
Look at any of the top quest vr apps… all of them started on PCVR.
Doing it the other way limits scope and keeps all the apps feeling stagnant, samey.. and boring.
But that’s just my opinion. #vr#pcvr
So long, @BestBuy. Cancelled Total Tech, been paying $4/mo for this monitor that was slowly going bad. Today I was told it needed to be shipped for repair, takes weeks. Expected it to be replaced with a deductable. Then they tried to charge me $79 for shipping.
Several people have confirmed that Valve is aiming to release new standalone, wireless VR headset (codename Deckard) by the end of 2025. The current price for the full bundle is set to be $1200. Including some "in-house" games (or demos) that are already done. Valve want to give the user the best possible experience without cutting any costs. Even at the current price, it will be sold at a loss. A few months ago, we saw leaked models of controllers (codename Roy) in the SteamVR update. It will be using the same SteamOS from Steam Deck, but adapted for virtual reality. One of the core features is the ability to play flat-screen game that are already playable on Steam Deck, but in VR on a big screen without a PC. The first behind closed doors presentations could start soon.
