Also Why do you want physical games to die? You obviously have an appreciation for other art forms to exist physically? Like how will you feel when someone is saying the same things to you on your books, films, and vinyls?

Books and vinyl are dope. Digital makes sense in all other things because those things are on computers / already digital

@bananajoexbt @TheLastRonin714 Disk drives are still around dude. Are you really advocating for physical media (not just gaming) to be destroyed because you think it’s antiquated.? Vinyls, CDs, Blu-ray’s, books they all exist digitally so just fuck those forms of physical media too.

In general one day when I die my kids will have something from my hobby to either sale or have as a keepsake- like Sackboy, the first game we beat together and have a picture of them holding the physical copy of smiling..

What is wrong with people.
Rockstar has made 10 billion from GTA V and its online mode. They have invested like 2 billion into gta 6.
Pre orders alone have netted over 1 Billion.

Other dude blocked me. But yes fair enough, I’m a nerd & like tinkering with this stuff too. But doesn’t change the fact discs are dead for 95% of the world. Or whatever maths. We should focus on digital rights get PlayStation to change something they actually have control of

@bananajoexbt @TheLastRonin714 When you have disks you can use a disk reader to make backups of your games too, I do self hosting and am in the process of creating backup layers outside my home. Not everyone wants to do this kind of stuff but I like actually owning my shit..

@bananajoexbt 1/2 I agree and disagree- for one how does it make sense to take away an option before we have a form of clear legal digital rights? It’s because Sony doesn’t give a fuck about us having rights or owning what we buy. It could take years to get legislation, or never happen.

If my voice mattered, you’d overturn the fuckery you pulled with physical games. You took away the one sacred thing that made console gaming special: actual ownership. You didn’t evolve the industry—you gutted one of the biggest reasons people loved consoles in the first place.
