If you’re shaping public perception at scale, you don’t get to operate like a faceless network and then demand the protections of a transparent press. 1. A false or unverified claim that medicines have stopped can make patients panic, families rush between hospitals, staff face abuse, and the public lose faith in life-saving services. Healthcare misinformation is not political banter. It can create real fear in wards, OPDs and emergency counters. 2. Annaram Barrage conspiracy: sabotage allegation against critical infrastructure Telugu Scribe claimed that the sand mafia was drilling holes into the Annaram Barrage and conspiring to collapse it, with political leaders involved. x.com/TeluguScribe/s… This is an allegation of organised sabotage against a major irrigation structure. Without verified evidence, such a claim can terrify farmers, damage confidence in water security, and create a perception that public infrastructure is at high risk. You cannot accuse unnamed political actors of plotting the collapse of institutional infrastructure this casually. 3. ₹5,000 crore Gandhi statue claim: fake mega-scam narrative Telugu Scribe claimed the Telangana government was planning to spend ₹5,000 crore on a Gandhi statue. x.com/TeluguScribe/s… No official document. Yet a gigantic figure was pushed as if the government had diverted thousands of crores into the statue. This is fabricating a fake fiscal scandal to purposely manufacturing citizen outrage against the state. 4. “1,000 Sonia Gandhi statues” claim: invented governance decision Telugu Scribe claimed the government would install 1,000 Sonia Gandhi statues costing ₹250 crore. Again, no official confirmation, no policy decision, no sanction. Plain propaganda. 5. Rythu Bharosa ration-card claim: misinformation aimed directly at farmers Telugu Scribe claimed farmers without ration cards would lose Rythu Bharosa eligibility and that reapplication was mandatory. x.com/TeluguScribe/s… Official clarification confirmed the scheme was not halted and no such restriction existed. This is one of the most damaging categories of misinformation because it targets beneficiaries at the point of anxiety. Farmers hearing this may believe their income support is at risk, rush to offices, depend on middlemen. Real consequences on the ground for ordinary people but no consequence for Telugu Scribe? 6. Cybercrime cases for power-cut complaints: fear imposed on citizens Telugu Scribe claimed Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka ordered cybercrime cases against people complaining about power cuts. x.com/TeluguScribe/s… No verified official order supports this. Think about the implication: It creates a chilling effect among ordinary citizens, discourages grievance reporting, and falsely portrays a democratic government as criminalising basic public complaints. 7. Morphed CM image: fabricated visual character assassination Telugu Scribe shared a manipulated image linking the Chief Minister to an adultery case. The image was morphed and later deleted. x.com/TeluguScribe/s… A morphed image is fabricated evidence. It plants a visual lie in public memory, and deletion does not undo the reputational damage. In politics, manipulated visuals are among the dirtiest tools because they bypass argument and directly poison perception. 8. Origin Dairy CEO assault case: false blame in a criminal matter Telugu Scribe claimed followers of Minister Sridhar Babu attacked Origin Dairy CEO. x.com/TeluguScribe/s… The victim identified a different individual: Durgam Chinnaiah. Telugu Scribe did not correct the post. This is extremely serious. In an assault case, wrongly attributing attackers to a minister’s followers can inflame political hostility, mislead the public about culpability, and damage reputations connected to a criminal allegation. Another case of reckless narrative warfare by Telugu Scribe. 9. HYDRAA demolition misrepresentation: court action recast as class targeting Telugu Scribe claimed selective demolitions targeting the poor while sparing influential individuals. x.com/TeluguScribe/s… The missing fact is central: demolitions were carried out as per High Court orders to remove encroachments. Omitting the court-directed basis changes the entire story. It converts legal enforcement into a manufactured persecution narrative, when the legal context was judicially directed encroachment removal. 10. Rythu Bandhu “stopped” narrative: welfare trust deliberately shaken Telugu Scribe claimed the scheme was effectively discontinued. x.com/TeluguScribe/s… The government clarified continuation of the scheme elevated under Rythu Bharosa. Welfare misinformation is not to be treated callously. Beneficiaries plan crop cycles, household spending and debt obligations around government support. Telling them a scheme has stopped when it has not creates uncertainty, fear and distrust. This is unacceptable distortion of a major public welfare programme. 11. ₹100 crore Messi event claim: 200x inflation of public spending Telugu Scribe claimed the Telangana government was spending ₹100 crore on a football event with Lionel Messi. x.com/TeluguScribe/s… The actual expenditure was around ₹50 lakh. That is roughly 200 times the actual figure. Inflating ₹50 lakh into ₹100 crore is outrage engineering. 12. Bogus voter ID cards in Jubilee Hills by-election: attack on electoral trust Telugu Scribe claimed the ruling Congress government was preparing fake voter ID cards on a large scale to cast bogus votes in the Jubilee Hills by-election, citing video evidence. x.com/TeluguScribe/s… Election authorities clarified that the cards shown were mostly old vertical-format EPIC cards issued earlier, not fake IDs. A case, Cr. No. 219/2025 at Tolichowki PS, was registered to investigate the circulation of misleading visuals. Officials also confirmed that all polling arrangements complied with Election Commission guidelines. This is the gravest category because it does not merely attack a party. It attacks voter confidence itself. To claim fake IDs are being prepared by the ruling government during a by-election, when authorities clarify otherwise, is to plant suspicion in the democratic process without basis. Now add the most important fact: despite multiple FIRs and complaints, nobody can clearly establish who is operating the handle. That is why the notice matters. Section 94 BNSS is being used to seek account registration details, usage logs and activity trails. Section 43F of UAPA is titled “Obligation to furnish information.” It is a demand for identity and evidence. And if a Telangana-focused political influence operation is being run from Dubai, it is HIGHLY plausible that foreign personnel including Pakistani nationals who can be hired in Gulf countries, are part of the narrative engineering or operations pipeline. That alone makes identity verification ESSENTIAL NOW, because foreign actors influencing Indian elections or public order is an INTEGRAL sovereignty, electoral integrity and security question. The State is not just entitled, it is duty-bound, to establish: who controls Telugu Scribe, who funds it, and who is actually producing the content that is shaping public opinion inside India. This is a handle with a misinformation trail being asked the most basic question in law: Who are you, where are you operating from, and who is behind the content being pushed into Telangana’s public sphere?
