@mikejgr And the nations surrounding Israel will never stop fighting themselves, either. They never have and they never will. It is useless to expect them to figure out in the next 12 months what they haven't figured out in 4000 years.

What if it's 2027 and, for the first time in its 78-year history, Israel has peace with all of its immediate neighbors? Is there a Poly? I'm long. Sorry to rain on all the doom and gloom I hear from so many quarters.

@mikejgr Whether it's Moab, Ammon, Edom, Aram, Midian, Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Persia, Greece, Rome, or any of the states surrounding it today, it has never happened and never will. Ever.

@mikejgr Ooooh, did I set off your radar or something? "He will be a wild donkey of a man; his hand will be against everyone and everyone’s hand against him, and he will live in hostility toward all his brothers." For 4000 years, this has been true.

@MazMHussain It's pretty clear the US has no real plan or strategy and is just making things up as it goes, so this wouldn't be surprising at all.

If the U.S. was not realistically planning to end the war during that timeframe the two-week ceasefire was a huge mistake. The Iranian strategy has always been to rely on time to leverage its impact on the global economy, even if it meant having to endure attacks while that happened. If the issue is not resolved the ceasefire just gave Iran an additional two weeks of leverage for free.

@the_jefferymead If anything, I'd say there's a direct correlation between someone's education level and their INcompetence level. It seems to have become a hard rule that the more "well-educated" someone is, the more incompetent he (or, usually, she) is at actually doing anything.

I made a deliberate decision to not get married or have kids and I am happy with the decision but there are clear trade-offs that I think very few would be happy making. (No children, no life long companion.) I think I am in the extreme 0.5% of people who are happy staying single.

Considering the amount of women I know who’ve gone through divorces and come out the other end, I feel 100% affirmed in my choice to not marry. Not-all-women, of course, but most are happier post-divorce and were unhappy-to-miserable in their marriages. I do understand the purpose of marriage—for the kids—but in general it doesn’t seem to make women happy so much as unhappy, stressed, and often kind of traumatized… I realize this is a gauche thing to say, considering the heterodox pro-marriage wave, but I think it’s generally true… Marriage just isn’t often an enjoyable or beneficial arrangement for many women…

All the actresses coming out telling people to embrace AI is having the opposite effect it’s supposed to have. It feels a little bit like this:

@BridgetPhetasy AI allows established actresses to be eternally young and beautiful on the screen and keep “getting roles” in AI productions far into the future vs hollywoods normal process of sidelining most women at 30 and disappearing them at 40.

As an 🇺🇸, I care about us first and foremost. But, if the Middle East wars are indeed ending, it will be fascinating to watch 🇮🇱 process, debate and render judgment on their post- Oct 7, 2023 campaign. Many amazing successes, with frustrating incomplete’s, and a changed world.

@danturrentine I don't think we can count on Israel doing this at all, at least not without a massive overhaul of leadership (that doesn't seem to be coming).

Seriously: organize a victory parade for Trump in the Rose Garden for getting the "Strait of Iran" opened for the first time in history, then give him another bust of his head in the shape of some tacky Churchill bust sitting on Mark Levin's Fox shelf, and call it a day.
Ann Coulter@AnnCoulter

Yay. The Strait that was open before we began bombing Iran open, is open again. Everybody pretend this is a huge victory for Trump so he'll end this catastrophe.

For years, @RepThomasMassie was popular among MAGA: until he opposed a couple of Trump policies, and Trump told his followers to hate Massie him because he's a "grandstander" who accomplishes nothing. Overnight, huge numbers of MAGA followers started reciting that like some mantra. Last night, Massie just helped defeat renewal of warrantless domestic spying on Americans: accomplishing more -- just in this alone -- than 90% of House members.

🚨 JUST IN—IT’S OFFICIAL: Conservatives have BLOCKED an attempt to RAM THROUGH a 5 year extension of FISA in the dead of night, extending it by only 2 weeks @timburchett, @laurenboebert, and @RepThomasMassie are out here celebrating a win against the deep state 🇺🇸🔥 “They try to bring us in all these classified briefings and tell us how DANGEROUS it is to have warrants to spy on American citizens. The briefing that we're never going to get is, ‘hi, our agency has been given TOO MUCH power by Congress!” — Rep. Boebert — Asked about how this current FISA bill relates to the powers used to spy on President Trump’s campaign, Massie said: “Today, I went in the SCIF and saw two TOP SECRET documents that showed this program is getting worse—NOT better!” When I asked how extending FISA impacts everyday Americans, Massie replied: “If you get on the government's naughty list—regardless of who is in the White House—they could put your name in this, find things about you, and then go recreate ANOTHER evidence trail to discover that because they're NEVER going to say they used FISA.” — When I asked Burchett what he thinks of FISA, and if it’s used to spy on aliens, he said: “I don’t believe in FISA. The only reason aliens don’t come down here is because there IS not intelligent life.” 🤣🔥

Israel has until January 20, 2029 to deepen damage to its enemies and convert its remarkable battlefield gains, with US backing, into lasting political advantage. With few exceptions, the next president is likely to threaten Israel — even if that weakens American security.

@CynicalPublius None of this would've even been necessary if Trump hadn't let Israel bait him into this stupid war in the first place. Absolutely none of it, not one tiny bit.

The reason you can be sure this is true is because in the past few days the Democrat/Media Complex has gone virtually silent on the issue of the Straits of Hormuz. Now they will do everything they can to support whatever Monty Python limbless Black Knight garbage the mullahs spew and claim Trump is lying. Count on it.

50% of US data centers are being delayed or canceled. 17% are uncertain. Only 33% are actually being built. This what's driving AI compute into orbit.
