@VZevallos14

CA-14 special election candidate. The only independent on the ballot. No party allegiance. Running to be the loudest common sense voice in Washington.

@OpenPrimaryUSA Open primaries should be the standard in every state. Independent candidates give voters the chance to vote for the person instead of the party. Blind party allegiance has failed us. It’s time to declare independence.

Since 2009, TN lawmakers have tried to shut independents out of primaries. This year, they nearly did. They were stopped—thanks to leaders like Shannon Rasmussen and a broad coalition. But even now, voters can be asked to pledge allegiance to a party at the polls.

Reminder to the market what Fauci’s COVID policies actually delivered: - 8k+ military forced out over vax mandates - Schools closed → kids lost years - 100,000 restaurants bankrupt (16k early on according to yelp) - Myocarditis spikes in young men - $200B+ PPP fraud Bad policies have consequences. It’s time to hold them accountable.

This is exactly right. The machine doesn’t serve voters. It selects them. The only way to break that cycle is to elect representatives who don’t answer to either party. Independents are not a protest vote. They are the solution. 49% of Americans already know this. Washington just hasn’t caught up yet.

More states now calling special sessions to give their politicians a chance to choose new voters since they weren’t willing to deliver solutions for their current voters. If you’re a voter looking to be chosen, then the two major parties have that market cornered. But if you’re a voter looking to be empowered to CHOOSE, then come move Forward with us 🙋‍♀️🙋‍♂️

California has the highest overall state debt and budget deficit in the country. Single payer would cost more than the entire state budget. Explain to your voters how you plan to pay for it. Higher taxes? More debt? More regulations? My bet is all of the above. What California deserves is a governor who can do basic math.

Running to be California’s next governor and not supporting moving to single-payer health care is disqualifying. Backpedaling on your politicianesque promises in order to rake in big donations from Big Pharma, health insurers, and corporate medicine is even worse. I've supported single-payer and rejected corporate PAC money since my first-ever election. Californians deserve a governor whose values aren't for sale to the highest bidder.

Great scoop by @adembosky on Xavier Becerra's recent meeting with California doctors lobby. "He said very clearly that, at this point, he wasn’t supportive of single payer," said Dr. René Bravo, president of @CMAdocs kqed.org/news/12082059/…

@SteveHiltonx California drivers pay over $1.30 per gallon more than most states in government imposed costs alone. California is 1% of global emissions. These policies have moved that number exactly nowhere. That is not environmental policy. That is a tax on people who have to drive to work.

This is exactly right. And the numbers prove it. California has the highest gas tax in the nation at 70.9 cents per gallon. More than double the national average. Add cap-and-trade and the Low Carbon Fuel Standard and California drivers pay over $1.30 per gallon more than most other states in government imposed costs alone. And for what? California is 1% of global emissions. These policies have moved that number exactly nowhere. Working families are paying $7.89 a gallon to fund a climate agenda that has zero measurable impact on the climate. That is not environmental policy. That is a tax on people who have to drive to work.

Name one cost you have lowered for Californians. One. Gas prices are at record highs. Housing is unaffordable. Groceries cost more every week. Businesses are leaving the state. You have been in Congress since 2019. California has gotten more expensive every single year you have been in office. That is not a record of lowering costs. That is a record of watching costs rise and doing nothing about it.

Californians don’t need politicians explaining why everything costs so much and pointing fingers at who to blame. We need a Governor who has a long record lowering costs, delivering results, and holding corporations accountable—like I've done my whole career.

Single payer in California means shifting the entire cost of healthcare onto the state budget. California already runs a deficit. It cannot print money like the federal government. The gap gets filled the same way it always does. Higher taxes. More regulation. More fees. More permits. The state gets its cut no matter what. Working families pay the difference.

🚨Debate Day in the East Bay is still on this Saturday, Noon, for the 10th State Senate District race. The 14th District congressional debate is cancelled. Three candidates had something better to do than speak to 250 voters three days before ballots arrive in the mail..

I visited Mario’s Westside Market in Nevada to see how communities are paying the price for Trump’s disastrous trade and foreign policy. While the Secretary of War doesn’t even know the price of this war, American families are struggling to put food on the table.

The diagnosis is exactly right. High energy costs, high taxes, over-regulation, and a Democratic machine that depends on the industries keeping those policies in place. No Democrat will ever bite the hand that feeds them. But I disagree with the conclusion. Republicans have been the opposition party in California for decades. Waiting for Republicans to save California has become a habit. The path to change comes through breaking the machine entirely. That means electing representatives who don't answer to either party. Independent candidates who can look at bad policy and call it bad policy regardless of who wrote it. That is the only path California hasn't tried yet.

It’s very simple: California’s #1 issue is affordability California is unaffordable bc of high energy costs, high labor costs, high taxes, & over-regulation The industries & unions whose interests those policies serve control the machine that Democrats depend on to get elected And so, no Democrat will ever have the political will to change any of these policies to reduce prices, taxes, and regulations The path to change in California can only come through the Republican Party
Richard Grenell@RichardGrenell

Stop voting for California Democrats. They completely rule the state.

Steve is right. And the numbers make it even worse. California has the highest gas tax in the nation at 70.9 cents per gallon. More than double the national average of 33.5 cents. Add cap-and-trade and the Low Carbon Fuel Standard and California drivers pay over $1.30 per gallon in government-imposed costs above most other states. Then California Democrats regulate two major refineries out of existence, removing up to 20% of in-state refining capacity. Less supply. Higher prices. Families pay the difference. And here is the part nobody talks about: California sits on some of the largest oil reserves in the country. We should be energy independent. We should have the lowest gas prices in the nation. Instead we ship oil in from halfway around the world, increase carbon emissions in the process, and charge families $8 a gallon for the privilege. This is not an energy policy. It is a wealth transfer from working families to Sacramento.
Steve Hilton@SteveHiltonx

California is shipping oil in from halfway around the world, increasing carbon emissions and sending prices through the roof, despite having abundant oil reserves right here in our state. That’s why we’re facing $8 gas—a radical climate agenda that does nothing for our climate. It has to stop. @FoxBusiness @Varneyco
