@CameToComment1 @WNBA Selling towards a bust right now. Great size and all, but you can't be taking these simple passes and trying to make them fancy. Especially when her defense is bad. She good at driving though. No surprise. But needs to be a franchise player. Not looking like it.

@MagicM06 Wasn't about that... Team needs to figure out Caitlin Clark long term. They could have signed KM as well for long term, but they needed cap flexibility to lock up Caitlin long term.

@nosyone4 She was nervous. Still is a 35% shooter from 3 point range. Her role will be fine as a floor spacer/ rebounding/ passer type. Her hands + passing was as advertised though. I'm not worried at all.

@yalldntknome202 They looked like they had a guard issue on their roster. Definitely had a lot of TURNOVERS despite the team having all that size. You could keep an eye on them and see if Sabrina at PG just doesn't work out for them.

@Nikelodeon2021 You could question some of her shot selection. But she's bound to take them... Aside from a few missed layups from some players, I thought she played well: - Drove more for dribble penetration. - Decoy when she had Stewie on her. - Solid defense. - She didn't do bad.

People saying Caitlin didn’t play well today. I didn’t see that. Yeah, some of her shots weren’t falling like we’re used to seeing. But what I saw more than anything is that she’s dealing w/ newcomers that have to get used to how she plays & how she wants to feed them. That’s all

@Ser_Dweeb She looked rough, but nervous. MHA is still a 35% 3 ball threat, with good hands and can pass. Timpson is just raw. It's early, but I don't think MHA has a bad repeat game.

@wbbmayer I'ma have to look back into lineups, but the numbers were always .aking it seem like KM's defense skews them outside that top 5 rank--even if you surround her with all defensive players.

@wbbmayer Yeah, early, but at that time the league was basically just adjusting. I'm of the belief CC can be a good defender (there's so much tape of it) but it won't ever be year long for her high usage and offensive input. Zero chance KM does help them get top defense.

@IndianaFever She had good passes and moved around on defense. I'm not worried about her scoring when she can legit shoot 50% from three if she wanted to. Those shots will always be available for her with this team. She was unselfish too by passing to a few rookies.

@cc22report I mean, she never really took a shot this game. Not like you can give ROTY to someone just because of assists + steals + making layups. There will be several rookies having 15 PPG while playing 26 to 30 MPG...

@wbbmayer I just don't see the value of a player that can't be put on the floor when they have a roster already full of 40% shooters and literally all but 3 of them shoot under 35% from 3 point range. It isn't going to work for this team.

@wbbmayer The thing about her is that she isn't going to be a contributing force for defensive rebounds nor to at least deny dribble penetration. The team clearly was awful at stopping those two this game. Who cares if she makes a few threes if they have to foul/ give up layups.

@wbbmayer Same for SWK. She not even shooting the three ball at her career average of 40% when she can probably hit them at 50% this season. She definitely gives them scoring in a different look. Good pickup.

Pissott is a giant who's lights out with one of the quickest triggers in the WNBA... Defense absolutely a work in progress & not ready yet but she's huge, long and relatively moving Going to be a serious player down the line for whatever team offers her a contract this year

@DayDreamThis Pissot not great on defense. It was raw and hard to have her play for them. Seems like the cuts are decided, minus the final dev spot between Timmons or Megan. MHA gonna need to bounce back next time though.

Caitlin & Raven combined for 0 TOs, that's pretty good. Han Xu had 20 points and was a -17 (something to keep a close eye on) Sabrina really had 1 point, my girl just lazy until the season starts Stewie was the best player on the floor w/ 16/5 Pissott looks like a steal

Yall have Caitlin Kelsey and Boston how many points yall expecting role players to have with all that production you’ll get from those 3. Role players are simply the gas and oil to keep the car a float that’s it. Doing everything that’s necessary to keep the car running flawless.
