Met some amazingly passionate people at Griffith's MATE Bystander training, great to see the message of stopping abuse before it grows is getting out to so many groups of society. Still lots of work to go though.

I am really tired of thanking able bodied people whenever they implement access and accessibility measures. Especially when those measures are required by law. Plan for our inclusion from the outset. And don't expect thanks.

Doing a literature search it is interesting how language has changed towards disability. In 2005 children experienced Down Syndrome.

I have finally lodged my PhD thesis for examination! I must admit I was expecting to feel more excited or at least relieved about it, but still a great achievement.

Writing a thesis is one thing but reading it before submission for external marking is where the dedication is really determined.

Do universities take peer student bullying seriously?

No matter how happy and proud I am of my Thesis, it still took me 10 minutes to press the submit button to send it to the final seminar panel.

@C_L_Fox Something that came up in my research was people not identifying when bullying happens. I would suggest you provide situations and ask which are bullying and how far does something have to go to become bullying. Gets students to really think about it.

I'm delivering an options unit on school bullying next term. I have lecture material I can use and develop further, but I need some ideas for activities and tasks that would work well with online teaching. Please could my colleagues in this area email me with some suggestions? 😊
