@BogganFredrick @valceesowk My friend just had training for how to subdue violent patients in their mental health facility. They were taught specifically how to do it to avoid injuring the person. This is the training police need. #SUSocialWork

I do not understand why this happened...it seems there was a language barrier, why was there so much force used on this poor man who is now dead? I am in tears as to why this keeps happening. #SUSocialwork

This would benefit many people. Ear buds are so common now a days. My daughter has a hearing aid to help with stuttering. If they resembled ear buds more I think she would be less self-conscious. #SUsocialwork inputmag.com/tech/signia-ne…

@rburgoss1 The American Jobs Plan is a step in the right direction for caregivers. This put a smile on my face. It takes a special person to care for someone and it is a difficult job. Caregivers are underpaid and undervalued. This is a way to give them a voice. #SUSocialwork

@EricOlson7459 This is encouraging. I like the idea of a gratitude journal. It helps to stay positive and appreciate life more. That's key. #SUSocialwork

@raaachelbeland This is so sad. Non-compliance should not lead to being killed. Police are there to protect, not kill. This is happening more frequently and something needs to be done. #SUSocialwork

@EmilyLawton_SU This is such a great way to help an abundance of people who are going through hard times during this pandemic. So many people have been or are still out of work at the moment, and this will benefit them greatly. #SUSocialwork

@EricOlson7459 I also find it interesting. I think this will help clients see how far they have come with their therapy, and also help understand their situation better. #SUSocialwork

Thought this article was very interesting. Patients and clients able to view medical narratives. This would include therapist notes. Would you want to read your therapist’s notes? Most said yes. Read why. #SUsocialwork psyche.co/ideas/are-ment…

New York City Council is considering a proposal that would create an Office of Community Mental Health to coordinate emergency response teams that consist of mental health clinicians and peer responders. I am still not sure where I fall on this subject. #SUSocialwork
Barack Obama@BarackObama

More places are experimenting with programs that send civilian responders instead of police to help people experiencing mental health crises. It’s a promising development in law enforcement in the wake of this summer’s protests. usatoday.com/in-depth/news/…
