#dementiaawareness Today is our wedding anniversary, but it didn’t start in the most romantic way. When I got up this morning, I was surprised to see a neighbour’s green bin sitting on our drive. Then I looked down the garden and realised why. Strong winds last night had blown out one fence panel completely and knocked two more over, thankfully stopped by the white van, which escaped undamaged. Several ornamental trees were lying on their side, and a heavy statue had toppled over, smashing a pot in the process. It’s not devastating damage, but it’s annoying, time consuming, and frustrating to deal with. Thankfully, our kind new neighbour, Will, has offered to sort the fence out for me, which I’m very grateful for, I would have really struggled with it on my own. On a much brighter note, Chris loved the flowers I ordered for her, and Boldys Beauty Boutique worked its magic once again to get Chris  looking beautiful for our special day. We then spent a lovely afternoon with our friends at “Dementia Singing with Friends”. The volunteers looked after us exceptionally well, and we were wonderfully entertained by the singing group “Just in Time”. Even with the stormy start, it turned into a day of love, music, and good company. We are grateful for these moments in time that make these days special.

@ValTatum3 @fidsta77 😁 When I worked at the residential centre, there were 4 staff, two men, two women (art, drama, music, dance) Each group of kids that came just couldn't handle the fact that there wasn't some kind of ABBA scenario going on. 😬😂

A child told me I looked 29 after I told her how old I am… Oh how I laughed 😆

@fidsta77 @DarrellWakelam Just thinking back to when my son had a teaching placement in my school. I asked two of my former to take him on a tour of the school. When they came back they fell excitedly into my office. “ Miss , he has the same name as you. Is he your husband?”
