Active duty soldiers have been ordered to report to duty and assemble at different military installations as part of a large-scale briefing on ongoing security assessments, sources said. Several contacts close to the Defence Force have confirmed that an order was issued just after 11 a.m. to all senior officers as part of a "heightened state of preparedness and ongoing regional security preparedness." According to one source, the order, known as a State One Posture, was a precautionary measure to ensure the Defence Force was prepared for any developments in the regional security environment. The source was unable to disclose further information as to whether this bulletin was in relation to continued U.S. military operations off the coast of Venezuela.

9:14 AM - TTMS issued an Adverse Weather Alert for T&T that ends at 5 PM Monday. (Right) 9:20 AM - It goes into effect and every media house and social media page runs with it, as they should: 11:02 AM - TTMS updates the end time on the alert to 5 PM today (left) on their website and an email to their stakeholders without indicating the alert was updated as they typically do. No updates on their socials, where most people get their info. Goverment offices also put out press releases based on the initial timeline. Now - public confusion, for an alert that (imo) was not warranted. Enjoy the mostly hot and sunny day! Tobago and SW Trinidad, not you.
