Is it naivety or complacency? My daughter just turned 27 yesterday & I did the research way back during my pregnancy with her & made the choice not to follow a conventional route for vaccines. The information was harder to find, but I chose to seek it out. Our fellow Canadians have allowed themselves to be lulled into laziness and choose to be spoon fed their narrative instead of approaching the media with critical thinking.

The problem with propaganda is that it works. It doesn't work on me, nor does it work on you (I hope). But Canada is a nation full of isolated people who still get their news from legacy media and Facebook. It's mostly boomers, but the younger metropolitan generations too. And I don't mean boomers as in "I wish boomers would just die so the world will go back to normal." That's not a fair judgement or accurate assessment of the situation we're in. The Carney Liberals are using two modes of emotional manipulation here: fear and anger. The fear mode is the one designed to manipulate boomers. The anger mode is the one designed to manipulate everyone else. And it's working. Canada's greatest weakness is the naivety of its population. These are people who have spent their lives believing a fairy tale about themselves and their nation, and when confronted with reality they don't know how to reconcile it with the fantasy they've been conditioned to believe. So they choose the lie over the truth, over and over and over again. Now the lie is consuming them. They know something is wrong, they know they're drowning, but they keep sucking in water because it's all they know how to do. Mark Carney and the Liberals know this, and they're using it effectively. That's what's happening here.

@MarcNixon24 I don't think BC dropped any taxes & we have a separate fuel tax from the rest of the country? 4¢ per litre in our work truck isn't going to help us or our customers. Let's get drilling & refining here in Canada!

Since its inception 1938, the Canadian Cancer Society has received over 2.1 billion dollars in cancer research funding. In addition to this, they have received billions in donations. From 2022 - 2023, they received over $129 million. Do you really think they're going to give that kind of money up for a cure?

"No duty of care". The Canadian government can mandate an experimental shot. Fire you and ban you from buses, trains and planes if you don't take it. Lock you out of retail stores, coffee shops and libraries if you don't take it. If if you do submit, comply and get injured or die from the experimental shot they mandated you to take, they have no duty of care to you. Yup. That's tyranny.

As a Canadian running a business where I am contractually obligated to purchase from the US, I am so done with the feds pretending we aren’t tied to the US & that it isn’t to our benefit. There are a lot of people with their heads in the sand regarding how detrimental it is to disrespect our relationship with our closest neighbour.

@rickygervais Good point. Our biggest monthly expense (outside of running a business in Canada - yikes) is feeding our dogs to keep them as healthy as possible. I make homemade treats & yogurt for them. They deserve the best!

I've always turned down 'influencer money' on here. You know, stuff like, "Wow. I've just tried these safe, natural but really scientific tablets for 3 days, and now I'm not fat or mental anymore. #Ad" But now I think I should just do them & raise even more money for animals.
