@by__brittany Yeah, you ensure the most unelectable general election candidate wins the leadership race then bugger off to Alberta so you don't have to face the consequences of a re-elected BCNDP govt. You're the female Wyatt Claypool.

I spent the beginning of July in Calgary and I must say that I have completely fallen in love with it here. I’m headed back to the island today and I’m feeling sad about it (I’m usually stoked to go home) Maybe I should job hunt in Alberta 👀

LOL. Only a Liberal bought pollster like David Coletto at Abacus Data could spin a Lib lead falling from 12 points to 6 since May 17th, CPC leadin on just about every important domestic issue, and more thinking gov is moving in the wrong direction as "good news" for Carney.

@TheophanesRex @CPC_HQ The CPC hasn't won an election in 15 years. It's members have forgotten what it feels like to win. Losing has become normalized. Losing is what they know. Losing is what makes them feel safe.

Prominent Conservative commentators / influencers arguing with each other in public has been talked about, but I also see CPC base falling out with each other, over issues. The ‘big tent’ of 2021-2025 is gone. @CPC_HQ needs to address this if they want to win the next election.

This is a Canadian Headline today and it’s not a joke. Globe and Mail is a propaganda machine for Mark Carney. Where are the articles of Carney hiring a Non Speaking French American to be COO of Canada? Where’s the articles of Mark Carney only doing contracts that Brookfield will benefit from? Where are the articles of Money laundering and Bribery in Ukraine where our taxpayer money is?? Conservatives haven’t lost our way but MSM sure did.

This should surprise absolutely nobody. CPC was popular with under 35's because they were actively courting their vote and speaking to their issues. Something Jagmeet & JT failed to do. I and many of my contemporaries said triple down on this, the CPC refused and went back to boomer/chud maxxing. They will reap what they sow.

@Anthony__Koch @angeloisidorou Settle down on the anti-car stuff. Might be fine in big cities but that thinking has infected smaller communities like mine with the result that cities have made life fucking hell for anyone who owns and relies on cars.

@angeloisidorou Angelo. We don’t like being able to walk to cafés or a grocery store or a local park. To be a REAL, TRUE, and BASED Conservative means you must desire lifeless car centric cities that require you to drive 20 minutes to see or do anything.

To add to Adam’s very excellent comments: The Provincetown Bear Week COVID outbreak was international news in July of 2021. Everyone knew that COVID vaccines did not reliably prevent transmission after that. Yet, Canadian governments instituted coercive and divisive vaccine mandates in September of 2021 on the demonstrably false premise that COVID vaccination prevented spread. This is a huge institutional failure that should concern anyone with a modicum of scientific curiosity or interest in improved public policy.
Adam Chambers@adamchamb

Gary sees no problem that the establishment and experts knowingly misled people during covid. The only way we know this is because legislators and the press in other countries bothered to investigate. But the Canadian establishment avoids seeking the truth because it holds such reverence for the authorities and experts. They would never do wrong. - Emails exchanged between heads of health authorities referenced the possibility of a lab leak while they called those theories conspiracies in public. - CDC had data showing breakthrough cases in vaccinated populations but everyone was told vaccines were mandatory to stop the spread

⚠️NEW: There are growing claims that, of the 4 vacancies, at least some will be called soon. Current vacancies are: 🟥North Vancouver-Capilano ⚜️Saint-Hyacinthe-Bagot-Acton 🟥Beaches-East York 🟦Chicoutimi-Le Fjord There are no Liberal candidates nominated in any of these ridings

Some Boomer Liberals who actively worked to defeat Pierre Poilievre are now out protesting Mark Carney 🤯 This woman helped Bruce Fanjoy beat Poilievre in his Ottawa-area riding last year. She thought the Liberals would be better. Now she’s standing outside her MP’s office calling Carney a “total corporate patsy,” slamming his pipeline deal with Danielle Smith, and saying she feels completely betrayed. She’s not the only one. A growing number of people who voted Liberal or helped them win seats are realizing the guy they were sold as the steady, serious adult is just another corporate operator pushing the same failed agenda — only faster. The Carney honeymoon didn’t even last a full term. Interesting times when even some of the people who helped install him are now showing up to fight back

@LNG_Guy @Tim_Pettit_ They might care about their OWN grandkids, but would they ever sacrifice their OAS indexed to inflation? Their income-splitting? Their deferred property taxes? No.

@VanIsleStuartD @Tim_Pettit_ I don’t know any boomers that don’t care about what their grandkids are facing but I am in Alberta. Still the Maritimes are used to the free lunch and when that runs out cause the economy hits bottom even they will care

So amend the Constitution and remove or restrict aboriginal rights under section 35. This is one of the reasons for Canada not harnessing it’s resources and all Canadians feeling poorer nationalpost.com/news/politics/…

Today this violence against an elected official, our Premier, is totally unacceptable. In our democracy it is fair and healthy to have different views on issues. To protest. It is essential. We can disagree but when that disagreement turns to violence no matter your view against those who serve it undermines our democracy. All regardless of views should be appalled and condemn this. They tried to diminish democracy today. Don’t let them. All should do better.
