As vegetation distributions are dynamically changing as result of warming temperatures and land use change, these changes have important implications on soil hydrology, weathering rates and solute export with effects on nutrient concentrations in Andean rivers and mountain lakes.

Erosive flash floods (huaycos) can transport vast quantities of sediment towards the coastal plains, and monitoring of these phenomena will be key during El Niño events.

In hotspots of geomorphic change we report erosion rates of about 9500 t/km²/yr based on 4D topographic monitoring with UAV-PPK-SfM techniques. sciencedirect.com/science/articl…
