I grew up in "I share, you share" households. once I discovered that other people ask questions (outside of hostile interrogation), I had to face the grief of having internalized "no one is curious about me."

@callanable Legit trying to be better engaging with people like you, how do I know when it is my turn to share? Say I ask what you do for work, you share, then I ask a follow up question, you share--how do I know when it is my turn to share and not just continue the cycle?

@fIametrooper I can’t be in the car while my mom is driving because of her phone rings, she’ll swerve all over the road trying to answer it (only a slight exaggeration). Unfortunately, she won’t let anyone else drive while she’s in the car, so we just don’t go anywhere together.

@TheMovieMermaid This happened a few months ago with Tooth. We hadn’t seen him for probably a good 12 hours, swore he’d gotten out somehow. We made FB posts, called for him for hours, and were out searching the neighborhood. He crawled out of a living room chair at like 11 pm.

This cat… disappeared.. for 4 hours.. had me thinking I lost my dad’s cat.. and reappeared from GOD knows where like nothing happened while I was crying my eyes out because I thought she escaped

@blckbrdquitter I went from working full-time to 3 days per week, then down to *maybe* 3 days per month, in the span of about a year. I’m lucky enough to have a job where I can take that kind of time off without being fired, but I’m not getting paid on days I don’t work. It’s like I hit a wall.

and all seriousness, you're too disabled to work before you ever realize it. I was passing out and collapsing at work, multiple times a day, crying in the bathroom because of pain and I still clocked in the next day, for months.

@House_Feminist I saw a group of 5-6 greyhounds at a craft fair, once (training to be service dogs), and as soon as the lady they were with sat down at a table, they all fell into a puddle around her. It was majestic.

I saw SIX BASSET HOUNDS taking a walk today, which is more basset hounds than anyone is prepared to see at one time and it felt like having a stroke but in a good way
