No you don’t get it when Trump says “a whole civilization will die tonight” he is being hyperbolic and posturing unlike when Iran says “death to America” which is actually a very serious threat and should definitely serve as the basis for an invasion

The idea that people are being killed to cover up aliens is internally contradictory. Why don't "they" kill the whistleblowers like Nell, Stratton, Puthoff, Elizondo, Lazar, Grusch, etc? And if they are not killing them because they have come forward and made statements and that would be suspicious, then why don't all the other people at risk of murder come forward and make statements? If it's safer to blow the whistle, then why not blow the whistle and save your life? It would seem that a strategy of killing people who might blow the whistle, but not people who have blown the whistle, is entirely counterproductive.

@MickWest Unaccountable power structures don’t treat every person the same or use one method like “kill anyone who talks.” They manage risk. Some people get ignored, some get discredited, some face career or legal pressure, others get killed.

I don't think people understand the gravity of the situation as the UN is preparing for possible nuclear weapon use in Iran. This is a picture of Tehran. For you uneducated, untraveled, never-served, warhawks licking your chops at the thought of bombing it. It's not some low population desert. There are families, children, family pets. Regular working class people with dreams. You're sick to want war. Tehran is a city of nearly 10,000,000 people. Imagine nuking Washington, Berlin, Paris, London, or beyond, bombed with nuclear weapons. I gave up my diplomatic career to leak this information. I suspended my duties so as not to be part of or a witness to this crime against humanity, in an attempt to prevent a nuclear winter before it is too late. Yesterday, nearly ten million people protested “No Kings” in the United States. The possibility of the use of nuclear weapons must be taken very seriously. It's dangerous. Act now. Spread this message worldwide. Take the streets. Protest for our humanity and future. Only the people can stop it. History will remember us.

I've been getting into the latest pop-punk. I'm old. I'm an older millennial but my jam is the pop-punk of the early 2000's I'm kind of surprised at the lyrical weakness of the modern scene. Wondering where this generation's Fall Out Boy is. A couple observations on this: 1) The people making pop-punk now are much younger than I am. They're also very influenced by rap lyricism that doesn't care as much about stricter rhyming 2) I underestimated the importance of the playful status games being played among the best bands. FOB and Panic at the Disco clearly had a thing jockeying for the best lyricism. 3) It is weird how many new pop-punk bands talk about mental health issues and therapy. Like... all of them. It seems extremely weird for a punk to complain about mental health in any capacity. (yes, FOB referenced therapy in Thriller ("fix me in 45") but that was an extremely cynical view of the uselessness of therapy in light of a manic life of drugs and rock and roll)
