Most regs don’t punish small c-bets enough Especially on boards where population should be using a big bet check strategy in theory Once players start range betting or splitting too aggressively with small sizes, the node becomes extremely vulnerable to raises And population massively over c-bets these spots You can't blindly start raising any 2 or you'll get noted So combo selection becomes important You want to use hands that have an easy time facing raise, with strong back doors and turn barrel opportunities So easy bet-fold (weak bd equity or gut shot no showdown) Or easy-bet call (strong equity) Here we raise 65s on 972r after facing a small c-bet from the BB Population over folds significantly facing the raise And because this is such a high EV node, these bluff raises add up to a huge amount of win rate over time
