Hermes Agent wrote a novel.
"The Second Son of the House of Bells" runs 79,456 words across 19 chapters.
The agent built its own pipeline to do it, using the ame modify-evaluate-keep/discard loop as @karpathy's Autoresearch but applied to fiction: world-building, chapter drafting, adversarial editing, Opus review loops, LaTeX typesetting, cover art, audiobook generation, and landing page setup.

it's been a longstanding dream of mine build an ai system that can tell a compelling story. it's what got me started in the space in the beginning, and with Hermes Agent I finally pulled it off 100% written, typeset, etc. by Hermes Agent those at our gtc event got hard copies🤗

i've caught the bug for pushing 1B-class models toward something closer to coherent reasoning on the cheapest consumer hardware.
Qwen2.5 and SmolLM2 GGUFs are already running on-device via llama.cpp on Android, so the inference path exists
the question for me is the reasoning ceiling at this scale
anyone experimenting with fine-tuning or prompting strategies to get more structured/compositional reasoning out of models this small?

snake oil has always worked by making the ordinary sound arcane. dudes will write entire X threads about their INSANE trading algorithm utilizing "quantum mathematics" and "stochastic neural frameworks"
what they're describing is... sophomore math! Euler's number, Fibonacci sequences, game theory, Monte Carlo sims. algebra II, calculus I, statistics
these are the concepts most common with these guys, even though its committed to memory every semester by 19 year olds
(re)learn some math, it'll do you good in the age of AI but also you will see right through every vaporware product with $500k launch videos when they claim their thing is "agentic"

Launch a coin in three steps from your terminal - you say "launch coin, symbol COIN, 0.1 SOL initial buy" and your AI client handles token creation, wallet signing, fee splits, Dexscreener listing, claims, all of it. BAGS vanity CA with zero Moltbook interaction (will add eventually, security risk for now)
41 tools. open source, MIT licensed, keys never leave your device. your agent handles the rest.
and of course, your agent can write new tools to iterate on this.
