Apparently it’s tradition for the transplant registrar to take a picture with the islet cells when doing an islet cell transplant at @MRITransplant so here is said picture 🤷🏻‍♀️ operating is cool, but it’s not every day you get to agitate cells into a portal vein!

@aimeecharnell @MStott88 I had exactly the same feedback about power calculations and no real negatives a "sorry, others were applying for a third year" so knew everything Martyn said

@MStott88 You need to add a power calculation, even if qualitative* data (*if you are a qual researcher, please don't). The only negative feedback I got was from 2 reviewers - both were about sample size/lack of power calculation. Only negative feedback yet I didn't get accepted.

RCSEng research fellowship will be opening soon, so I’ll share my feedback cos I couldn’t act on mine 🧵 1. If this is your first time applying, you won’t be awarded it. “It’s an unwritten rule that people don’t get it on their first attempt”.
