The issue is STILL not resolved & ill be putting in a large complaint taking you to small claims court. Obviously I’ll never use you again, it was absolutely disgraceful @BritishGas 3/3
English

Despite me asking repeatedly to speak to a supervisor (over the course of 4hrs) “they weren’t available” & I was promised they’d call me back - nothing ever happened
@BritishGasHelp 2/3
English

@BritishGas I had possibly the worst customer service experience of my life yesterday - not only unhelpful, prolonged, repetitive & frequently dropping the line but also literally breaking the laws of logic 1/3
English

I’m taking a backseat from SoMe in 2025 so I have no plans for Bluesky etc, but feel free to message me on Insta (@knitdoctorfi) which I check about 2x/week
So long, everyone, and thanks for all the fish x 2/2
English

@DocDoLi Now that is a very long story! Short version - my priorities changed & I love things outside of surgery/academia too much
English

@FiFiELewis Wow, that’s an amazing little career path - why did you end up leaving Vascular if you don’t mind me asking?
English

@DocDoLi I got into CST - got to ST5 vascular and quit. Spent a year figuring out what I want, turns out it’s GP
Would have made my life much simpler if I figured that out at FY2 but what can you do 😂
English

@Dr_DeanS Amazing work Dean! And it’s not about speed, knitting is slow work
English

@Dr_DeanS A great 1st fair isle project is the Anthology hat by @tincanknits - I made one for my husband last year and used it as the gauge swatch for his sweater!

English

I could only ever dream of being able to do this and in 114 hours?!
Teach me please.

The scarf is finished… both ends shown. Pleased it’s done in time for the cold and snow.😊#Knitting

@catiwat @caffeinemedic I agree with normal day then 5-8pm being superior EXCEPT when you’re covering a clinic in another hospital in the daytime …fffs
English

@FiFiELewis @caffeinemedic The other thing I’ve definitely noticed is 24hrs on call scrambles your brain and you definitely get decision fatigue but doing a normal elective or academic day (either clinic or theatre) 8-5 then taking over the oncall 5pm-8am is way easier.
English

@catiwat @caffeinemedic I’ve done both (& 48hr NROC) and I’d say generally I prefer 24hr but a busy 24/48 is an absolute killer
Especially when you’re supposed to work the next day (as we were post 24hr as vascular for a MTC….)
English

@caffeinemedic Noooo I’m team 24 hrs.
A run of nights ruins me for weeks whereas 24hr NROC is no rougher than night 1 and you get to keep your circadian structure- day is day, night is night, you eat at normal times and you’re a bit tired rather than tapping out of normal life for a week
English

@LiangRhea @Frances__Daily I’m a huge soup fanatic (it’s the Jewish mother in me) & my husband half-jokes I’ll be the GP handing out soup to my pts 😂
English

@Frances__Daily I doubt anyone of any background can go past a bowl of noodles or some chicken and corn soup. Though I may be just a little bit biased!
English

Congee, pickled celtuce, preserved orange peel and Chinese newspaper. Welcome comforts for a relative who has appreciated wonderful hospital care, but spent the last 3 days complaining about 'white person food' 🤣. I think we underestimate the value of culturally-congruent food.

The bit where I visit a relative postop, and discover my stock image has been used for an anti-DVT poster ❤️🚶♀️🤣
English

@Lucyclizine My 1st day as an FY1 I was mistaken for a paediatric patient on a paeds ward…admittedly I did look very fresh-faced 🙈

English

@Dr_BellaR For 1 glorious year (fy2) I had a convertible & any dry weather I’d roll into the hospital car park, roof down & music blasting - indescribably euphoric
English

@UK_Engineer_Mat @DrNeenaJha I’ve always been keen but my husband’s job is fairly restrictive - I won’t be able to take a GP post that far from London for the same reason

@BeAwesomeBeAdam MSRA for me - I swear I knew some of this for finals 🤦🏼♀️
English

@FiFiELewis I am sitting MRCEM primary next month, basic anatomy and physiology , forgotten lots even after sitting MRCS part a a few years ago and then seeing random questions pop up during MSRA revision last year...the mind boggles
