2/- Contribute to society. The second piece of advice he mentioned in the podcast was that someone should contribute more than they consume. "Try to have a positive net contribution to society," he told Fridman. "That's something to aim for."

The secret to being a private person is to overshare dumb shit so that people think you’re an open book but then not tell them any of the important details of your life

Weekly reminder to rescue an indie dog if you can. Bring them into your home if able. They are resilient, super affectionate, and hardy. The journey of watching them discover safety, toys, a bed, a good nights sleep, learn to have fun…it will be a life journey to witness greater than your own. This is Lucy and Stoopee. Both have many friends out there right now who would light up your home with love.

Dear @DelhiAirport @DelhiAirportGMR , How can a community dog that has been there for so many years, which is now old, sterilized & vaccinated, attack someone without teeth? Have your dog catchers also come with training in brutality? Ma'am @gupta_rekha ji please intervene

This is what real consequences for animal cruelty look like: 4 years behind bars, $65,000 in fines, and a nationwide ban on chaining dogs. Italy just passed one of the strictest animal protection laws in its history. Under the Brambilla Law, anyone who tortures or kills an animal faces up to 4 years in prison and fines up to $65,000, double the previous penalties. The law took effect July 1, 2025 and bans permanently chaining dogs outdoors across the country. For the first time, animals are recognized as legal subjects, not property. Organizing animal fights brings 2 to 4 years in prison. Puppy trafficking can mean up to 18 months. Filming animal cruelty online is now a crime, with harsher penalties if minors are involved. Abandoning an animal can cost up to $11,000. The Italian Senate passed it unanimously, and animal welfare groups across Europe are calling it a model for others to follow. 🇮🇹🐶

Note to my younger self, though it applies at any age: Over your life, there are going to be thousands of times that you get triggered — something happens that makes you feel insecure, anxious, jealous, threatened, etc How you respond is going to determine the quality of your relationships. If you build your emotional capacity and resilience by learning how to move through the feelings without dumping them on others, your relationships will have much more safety and trust and connection. The more offended you are and the more you respond from that insecure or entitled place, the more you are going to push people away even though your desire is the exact opposite. When you do inevitably get into conflict, every conflict you have could be the seed of resentment and bitterness, or the seed for more connection and a better solution. That’s what I would have tried to master much earlier in life — how to build more emotional capacity so that I don’t act in ways that bring me further away from people and how to have a conflict in ways that bring me closer to them instead. This is something that you can learn intellectually, but you also need to learn it emotionally to be able to use it when you really need it.

Story Time. Faith in humanity restored 🧡 On 19th February, a young boy, Rohit, came across an abandoned/lost Labrador who was tied and being beaten near AIIMS, Delhi. He didn’t look away. He raised the alarm immediately. He shared an SOS message. It spread quickly through a strong network of animal welfare WhatsApp groups. Within an hour, @PercyBillimoria sir reached the location. He rescued the dog and took him home. The dog is now safe in his care. If anyone has lost a Labrador in that area, please do reach out. Thank you, Rohit. Thank you, @PercyBillimoria sir. For stepping up. For acting fast. For saving a life. This is what kindness looks like. And this is how change begins. ❤️ #SaveIndianDogs #Delhi
