@MyUsernamesThis It's overall really stupid. This does a lot more damage than good. I get that players who got rightfully banned shouldn't be allowed to create new accounts to do more stuff in. Players end up quitting due to this.
English

if you know anything abt modern IPv4 infrastructure, Roblox's "alt account detection" by IP address is a *really* stupid idea that gets tons of false positives, here's why:
on most wifi connections, you get what is known as a "private" IPv4 address assigned to your device. this address by itself is *not* directly routable on the public internet, so it goes through a process called Network Address Translation (NAT). this takes your private IP (192.168.x.x or similar) and makes it a public IP which can be directly sent across the internet. Roblox never sees your private IP via this process, since every device on the local network gets the same translated public IP in most cases. Basically this means if there are 1000 accounts on the same network (i.e. a college or coffee shop network), they all can share the same public IP and in Roblox's eyes, look like they belong to one user. they then associate these accounts to one user, and ban all accounts that use the same network if one account breaks ToS.
you end up w potentially 100s or 1000s of accounts being false flagged because they share the same IP at a public location like airport or college or coffee shop when one user does something bad
this doesn't even cover larger CG-NAT networks which are common in europe and asia where even more ppl share 1 public IP...
with IPv6, this is less of an issue since each device gets a unique global address, but roblox doesn't support IPv6 last I checked and i dont think they plan to anytime soon
anyways thanks for coming to my ted talk hopefully you learned something new :3

@zerotergt @Wishtap_ Even though we as the Roblox community have a reason to complain about the Roblox Corporation, it remains a fact that we complain a lot.
English

@Wishtap_ people complaining about the terrible company doing terrible things then you have people like you who go "ermmmmmm the skin you alive update is actually good? like yall needa lick the boots of poop factory inc more, yall are WAYYY too negative"

@jesyoungfa Overall I gotta say Roblox did improve more or less. A lot of good things but also a lot of bad things happened. Though the good things required a wake-up call from the Community. Roblox has been way more transparent than last year. They only spilled nothing but lies last year.
English

@jesyoungfa Roblox has dropped down from 150 to 45 since August 2025. The age verification wasnt the only reason, but rather there is a reason why age verification is a thing. Roblox currently has 150 Lawsuits in a MDL over child safety. That is going to be a massive hit for the corporation.
English

current 70% drawdown due to $RBLX platform transition: the age verification backlash causing DAU declines likely for H1, dropped guidance, deceleration concerns etc.
Mixed with overwhelming negative community sentiment: users threaten to leave, devs complaining over novel tooling and incentive structure updates, brainrots flooding the platform, “creativity dying” etc.
it's a prime example to test conviction and if an investor truly understands the business:
The age verification is global infrastructure NECESSARY for mature monetisation, and to secure the younger pipeline for the next 20 years. Youtube is GenAlpha’s DEFAULT media environment before 13+ content, their most used/time spent platform because of it.
Since 2015 Youtube has been “dead”, “algo’s broken”, “the golden era of creativity is behind it”, but if you truly understood their asset:
- OWNING the long form video mechanic (continues to be fundamental with no shift in sight)
- powered by an infinite creativity engine with flywheels on both demand and supply side
- geared by the algorithm strategically to achieve platform vision
Everything, the good and the bad manifested are downstream of this engine.
Roblox OWNS the same asset for interactive experiences which I think is a MUCH bigger deal

@jesyoungfa Roblox does make a huge amount of money, but also is losing in profits. They lost 1 billion dollars in profit last year. If they dont find a way to profit from the gaming platform... then they will go under like Rec Room. This Company is not too big to fail.

@turtledude01 Man this is one of those tweets that was meant to blow up and at the same time it wasn't, because of the twitter community.
Look dude. Some people unfortunately just ghost you and I am pretry sure she had a reason that you might not wanna hear out in the first place.

@cibocibocibocib This cat is so iconic. When Denis was the first Roblox account to reach 1 million followers, everyone who followed Denis on Roblox got this cat for free. That was amazing.

@KreekCraft Honestly not many people care about graphics. Graphics are good and all, but a lot of gaming studios miss out on the fact that Gameplay is important. If it's a singleplayer, then both Gameplay and story are important, not graphics.
English

@DavidBaszucki Honestly this does look great. But I've played Blackhawk Rescue Mission 5 which already has great graphics for a Roblox game. Though despite me having a great PC, I cant run the game properly. So I dont see this being very well optimized and ready to be released yet.

We’re on the verge of interactive, real-time, photorealistic video generation with what are called World Models. These require a fair amount of expensive compute, but costs will come down over time. Today, these interactions are essentially real-time dreams. They lack the persistence and shared logic that turns a video into a multiplayer game. Or concert. Or classroom. Or the holodeck.
We believe the ultimate architecture for gaming (and the holodeck) is Roblox Reality. It’s a hybrid architecture that marries the structured data and logic of the Roblox Engine and Roblox Cloud with the generative power of Video World Models. The Roblox Engine provides the underlying synchronized ground truth—the score, physics, multiplayer sync, etc.—while our video model acts as a Super Upsampler to layer on photorealistic detail.
We believe this will ultimately remove barriers to high-fidelity creation, allowing a team of three people to build a narrative-driven, photorealistic masterpiece in a single week. This is an early look at turning solitary AI dreams into a social, playable reality.

@RealSchlep Honestly. Back then when it was happening, we all thought how insane this situation was. But little did our past-selfs know what would happen a month later..

@paulinaplazas @kesikesiluv The story isn't really explained in high detail, but this experience showed me that Karma does exist. You just simply don't always see Karma striking on other people but on yourself.
English

@paulinaplazas @kesikesiluv I got a story for you. When I was 8 years old, I actually stole a smartphone from whom I considered to be a best friend of mine. This was also not the first thing I stole back then but definitely the most expensive thing. 2 weeks later someone else stole it from me.

@AlexDeerest Good point. This is a very terrible idea. On one hand I understand that so condos are not rated 5+, but only 36% of the playerbase make 16+. They are more likely to discover such games, but If they are games that are specifically made for children, then it will be very difficult.
English

You know what isn't false information? The secret publishing requirement Roblox announced in their AMA and not in the official announcement where developers must get 500 unique 16+ players to play their game so it can be all ages, ONTOP of all the other requirements!

Alex Deerest🦌@AlexDeerest
False information, I know Roblox is being evil rn but we don't need false information to cause more panic.
English

@sneezyloe Getting banned for joining Condos should've been a thing for years considering Roblox had rules against that. And the outfits thing? Genuine Question now.. What do you guys gain from doing that? Why do you dress your avatar that way?
English

Try not to join condos too often or at all idk which will work but you can get banned for wearing revealing outfits or joining condos rip to the gooners😭💀 #proof #roblox #robloxcondo

English

@MeltZero_ Eh.. More than that actually. They are at 150+ lawsuits over child safety. There are also wayyyyyy more expose videos of Roblox.
English

it only took them like 15 expose videos and 50+ lawsuits

Roblox has begun sending cease and desist letters to some of the largest condo creators in an effort to deter bad actors and open the door to further legal action. By identifying the real-life identities of these individuals, Roblox is prepared to pursue further legal action should they continue to violate our terms. In addition to moderating against the content creators, Roblox is taking moderation action against players who repeatedly join experiences that violate the Community Standards.
