everyone is arguing about R15 vs R6 over the roblox $RBLX 18+ devex rate hike, it's not about that "18+ players expect higher fidelity," means older players need the content pipeline only R15 supports, not 4k graphics, but a more versatile toolkit, things they've been building are all on R15. dress to impress literally cannot exist on R6 (no layered clothing). dating sims and social games need dynamic heads for facial expression. new-wave anime fighters needs articulated wrists and elbows etc. and the higher fidelity environments follow better characters. let alone future upgrades.
RTC@Roblox_RTC

On June 8th, 2026 Roblox is increasing the DevEx rate by 42% for games that appeal to 18+ players on the platform; however, the user must be age-checked, reside in the United States, and the game itself must use the R15 avatar. Developers are not region-restricted.

@arny_trezzi She only looks like she’s not paying attention because she already trusts you and your $PLTR knowledge enough to know that they will crush without you needing to explain. Keeper.

Microsoft has a $3.02T market cap and $90B in cash and has previously acquired gaming companies like Activision and Minecraft among others. At a sub $30B market cap and overlapping ambitions in gaming, cloud and AI, it’s inevitable that Microsoft moves to acquire Roblox (even though Roblox has no intentions to sell). $MSFT $RBLX @satyanadella @DavidBaszucki
The All-In Robloxian@GenAIRoblox

Roblox is beginning to reach a market cap valuation where it’s inevitable that a larger player like Microsoft with their gaming, cloud and AI efforts will move to acquire Roblox at a solid but reasonable premium. $RBLX $MSFT “In active talks with multiple studios and publishers to bring more large franchises to the platform”

@Vartryn They’re very profitable, the loss is on accounting, through delayed revenue recognition. FCF is the metric.

@jesyoungfa Roblox does make a huge amount of money, but also is losing in profits. They lost 1 billion dollars in profit last year. If they dont find a way to profit from the gaming platform... then they will go under like Rec Room. This Company is not too big to fail.

current 70% drawdown due to $RBLX platform transition: the age verification backlash causing DAU declines likely for H1, dropped guidance, deceleration concerns etc. Mixed with overwhelming negative community sentiment: users threaten to leave, devs complaining over novel tooling and incentive structure updates, brainrots flooding the platform, “creativity dying” etc. it's a prime example to test conviction and if an investor truly understands the business: The age verification is global infrastructure NECESSARY for mature monetisation, and to secure the younger pipeline for the next 20 years. Youtube is GenAlpha’s DEFAULT media environment before 13+ content, their most used/time spent platform because of it. Since 2015 Youtube has been “dead”, “algo’s broken”, “the golden era of creativity is behind it”, but if you truly understood their asset: - OWNING the long form video mechanic (continues to be fundamental with no shift in sight) - powered by an infinite creativity engine with flywheels on both demand and supply side - geared by the algorithm strategically to achieve platform vision Everything, the good and the bad manifested are downstream of this engine. Roblox OWNS the same asset for interactive experiences which I think is a MUCH bigger deal

Am i dumb for wanting to buy this with size n sit on it for a few years? Feel like $RBLX as a company just has such a larger user base, that at some point... the data alone is worth more than anything else. It is at a 33B marketcap, which ya thats concerning. But dog wif hat was 1/11th of it, and all we did was get a picture... of a dog in a hat... They've beat earnings the last 3 quarters. People are spending more time online. They are conscious of the userbase being younger and trying to tailor to an older audience. Idk, prolly gonna start to nibble on shares.

the gym analogy is 💯
Milk Road AI@MilkRoadAI

Andrej Karpathy said something that reframes one of the biggest questions about the future. "Pre-AGI education is useful. Post-AGI education is fun." That is a complete reversal of how humans have thought about learning for all of recorded history. For thousands of years, education existed for a single reason, survival. You learned a skill to get a job and a trade to eat, driven entirely by economic necessity. AGI removes that engine entirely and Karpathy's point is that this is not a crisis but rather a liberation. His analogy is the gym. We invented machines decades ago, forklifts, cranes, industrial equipment that removed the need for human physical strength, so we no longer need to be physically strong to survive. Yet gym membership is at all-time highs and people work out more than ever. He is betting that the same thing happens to the mind. Once AI takes over the cognitive heavy lifting, analysis, research, knowledge work humans won’t stop learning, they’ll keep going, not for a job but for the same reason they go to the gym. The deeper argument here is about human nature. Curiosity is not a tool we deploy when we need to make money but rather one of the core drives of being human, it generates dopamine, fuels identity, builds community, and gives life meaning. The urgency of economic survival has always drowned it out but post-AGI, that noise goes away. What Karpathy is really describing is a world where learning becomes what art, music, and sport already are pursued for pure human joy, detached from utility, accessible to everyone.

@riyadosofian but Andrew recently said that they wouldn’t be the first to launch when peptide goes to market, they’ll do it when they feel 100% confident and safe to build that brand trust

$HIMS likes to launch new ads/products right before earnings. Q1 earnings will be announced on May 11. In the previous year, it was announced on May 5. They probably need the 6 extra days to launch a banger peptides ad 🔥
