We uncovered something far bigger than I ever expected. After seeing coordinated false attacks against the Utah data center project, we brought in an advanced data science team to trace where the content was coming from and the results were shocking. What we found led back to organized networks, political activist groups, and funding trails tied to massive international entities. We dug through IRS 990 filings, tracked IP data from around the world, and uncovered what appears to be a coordinated campaign targeting energy and data center projects across multiple regions. I shared 90 pages of evidence with federal law enforcement and raised concerns directly with contacts at the White House. This isn’t speculation. The filings, funding records, dates, and connections are documented. There’s a coordinated PR war happening around energy infrastructure and data centers, and we’re not going to ignore it.

I see where you are coming from here, but honestly, have you looked at the potential flip side, the potential benefit? Maybe you have and you don't believe it and that's fair. But some people do strongly believe that in the end it won't be billionaires who benefit the most, it will be average people. In order to understand this from the other perspective you have to realize that the perspective is nearly religious - AI represents a potential god like intelligence in the long run. In that version, "billionaire" is meaningless. Humans are free because machines do everything. It sounds outrageous, but there are people who believe this. Serious and smart people.

The honest answer is that some people believe that this won't be detrimental to human life, and the gains will be able to massively offset anything negative. They believe that the negative is short term and temporary, and that the upside would be improvements to human life on a huge scale.

I get what you are saying, and maybe you are correct. And you personally might be fine either way. But do you deeply understand the potential that these things could represent? I'm not trying to be dismissive - and I don't have some special magical gift where I can predict the future. But I have seen AI tools do things that 5 year ago would have been full blown science fiction. I don't think we are done squeezing capability out of the AI models, not even close actually. If what we have now is remarkable, and it is, where will we be in 5 years? These things could be used for really bad things and they would be really good at the bad things. My bet is that it's better to have a world that is not unipolar with regard to AI super powers.

**Around 4,287 data centers** in the US right now, per DataCenterMap's latest listing (one of the most commonly referenced trackers). Other sources like Statista put it at ~4,184 as of April 2026, with estimates varying by what counts as a "data center" (hyperscale vs. smaller facilities). The number has been growing fast due to AI/cloud demand.

well if we don't build AI data centers, which do not represent very many of the 4500 you cited, you might not like the side effects. the better question you should be asking is "what happens if we fall radically behind on AI data centers, how will that impact our position in the world?

@Okie_Patriot46 @kevinolearytv I'm asking this genuinely - what do you think happens if we don't build them? What happens over the next 20 years in your model of not having them?

@kevinolearytv No, it’s American citizens fighting back against the unnecessary data centers across the country, as we’ve noticed that they are nothing but surveillance centers for the American people. That’s why we’re pushing back. We don’t want them. We don’t need them.

One injection, 62% lower LDL - permanently. Gene editing for cholesterol is here. .@cremieuxrecueil is correct. Besides GLP-1 antagonist like Ozempic or, more recently, Retatrutide, this is probably the next breakthrough that is almost impossible to put into words. Verve Therapeutics (Eli Lilly) just published Phase 1 results for VERVE-102 in the NEJM. It's a single-infusion base-editing therapy that inactivates PCSK9 in the liver. At the highest dose, PCSK9 dropped 88% and LDL cholesterol fell 62%. Reductions held for at least a year. 35 patients with familial hypercholesterolemia or premature coronary artery disease. No dose-limiting toxicities. Main side effects: mild infusion reactions and transient liver enzyme elevations. Still Phase 1, still small, no cardiovascular outcome data yet. But the proof of concept for permanent, one-shot LDL reduction via gene editing is real. This is an absolute game changer and im not exaggerting. Elevated LDL cholesterol is responsible for an estimated 4.4 million deaths every year worldwide and remains the single biggest modifiable driver of cardiovascular disease, the leading cause of death globally.

Eli Lilly has done it. They've gone and made what seems to be a powerful, permanent gene therapy for LDL cholesterol. That means they'll be able to effectively prevent most heart disease with a single infusion!

The Pope rightly warns that AI must serve human dignity, not become a tool of domination or exclusion. But if we hand governments sweeping power over AI development in the name of safety, how do we prevent it from being used to censor, surveil, and control citizens — as Orwell foretold in 1984? This is the real alignment problem. “Quis custodiet ipsos custodes.” Who will guard the guardians? “Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.” The oldest questions of human nature and authority don’t disappear in the AI age. They become newly relevant.

Tell younger generations their entire lives that they need to go to college to get a good job, go into tech to make money, learn to code. Remove trade classes from high school curriculum to help facilitate this. Rug pull them by hiring only foreigners for those jobs or offshoring them completely “Hey man nobody forced you to go to college you should have gone into the trades”
sparkyt.xlm@SparkyTXLM

Should have went into a trade. Nobody forced you to take out that student loan or choose the profession you decided to choose. You did that on your own. Learn and adapt kids. Learn and adapt

@FishkinSykes @raven_brah you can't flood a trade like electricians, because it requires an apprenticeship to get your license. It's got built in brakes.

@raven_brah These types don't consider how flooding the trades would mean depressed wages, increased competition for jobs, and would surrender the white collar to women and foreigners. They don't care though, this isn't about what is good for the country or themselves, it's about their ego.

@VascularHand @MAGAVoice Every wonderful thing that you like is because of other communities. There’s every kind of heritage and a lot of people are traced back to pioneers. The majority of families are mixed. We live on a spinning rock flying through space. What else would happen than cohabitation?
