@BNE094 Looking like a fool? Honestly Carlos looked a bit like a fool when he kept the ye1 race going on till the atp finals despite Jannik missing 3 months. His Paris loss to Norrie was horrific. Just saying. Meanwhile after that USO loss, Jannik won 9 tournaments. Be so fr.

@chanchan_breizh @jmgmoron Nah.. first you lot complain about how the field is super weak, then you say sinner has an easy draw, then you complain about sinner playing only night session matches, then he gets a day session match and you still complain about something. Unbelievable.

@jmgmoron Jouer à 12 h est différent que de jouer en plein après midi... On enlève 2 h au soleil avec le changement horaire français donc ça correspond à 10h...

@sadio_caen Sinner faced the worst heat of the entire tournament in Australia. Don't give me that. He's the world number 1 and has played more than anyone else. He has earned the right to choose when he wants to play. And Novak is the best ever so not much more has to be said there.

@rafa_goat4ever I think what happened in AO should put to bed that his age has an impact on his tennis level. A R1 match is pretty much an expectation to get through at this point.

@VeS_789 Especially for a GS round 1 win which isn’t anything special for him (even if he is too old now because his age doesn’t come into consideration as he himself believes he can play until at least 2028)

@RoyalSaksham123 He will be just fine. He's been practicing to deal with the heat. In Australia, he wasn't able to prepare to deal with 40 degrees and humidity. It came out of the blue that day.

@Vinayyuvi55 @NothingMajorPod Jannik Sinner has played five 5 setters over the past 2.5 years (2 in finals, 2 in semifinals, 1 in quarterfinals) , and you're saying he'll play 2-3 before the semis. Make it make sense.

@NothingMajorPod if jannik play 2 r 3 5 setters before semis, then he'll likely lose in semis to whoever the opponent is

@egrrrrl8446 @VeS_789 @yeonn1k The way they’re collectively melting down because Sinner is almost universally seen as boring is genuinely hilarious. 😂😂😂

@sixloveee Hear me out. I think in a way this loss actually gave confidence to Jannik that he could beat Carlos. No one expected him to win, and he was so close. Knowing his mentality, he may have seen it as 'Ok. I'm getting the hang of Carlos' game. I know I can beat him anywhere'

@levitoslam You know what. A measure of how well Jannik is doing is opening Tennis Twitter and reading takes like he is 'boring'. Keep it coming guys. It's a sign he's winning. Lk I won't even check the scores anymore. I'll come here and look for the word 'boring' and I know he won the match

how i imagine the haters watching jannik's matches even though no one is forcing them to (then they complain on twitter about how boring they are)

@IshaanSingh1604 @cestlaviemacher The way you underestimate Novak being a Novak fan 🤦. He's literally the best player of all time. He's still a top 5 player. Of course he's not easy to beat. And the field beats Carlos more often than Sinner. What's the excuse for him if he's so much better than Sinner?

Jannik Sinner is dominant at the moment but I still think he’s not proven to be mentally stronger than Alcaraz or at level of big 3. The statistic showing he struggles in longer matches or the massive choke in RG final last year or losing to 38yo Djokovic in Australia, is telling

@marco07710089 @cestlaviemacher The way he excuses Carlos by saying he has an 'oscillating game'. If sinner had lost in R1 and R2 consecutively, you would never have afforded him the same excuse lol. Meanwhile, you are calling it a poor mentality when he lost in a Slam SF and F 😭

@altrisung Jannik has to brave the heat for slams even in the future. It's not just gonna go away. It's better to tackle it head on to get more experience. And I do think he has improved in it. Australia was 40 degrees with humidity and he managed for 2.5 sets with Spizziri redlining.

@VeS_789 Sinner doesn’t take it to distance usually cause the players he plays nowdays are all the same game style and weak so his game style and one plan it’s enough to beat them in 3 sets and less time. BUT when he does he loses to top guys. Stats don’t lie. Can’t be just a coincidence.

@cestlaviemacher Carlos lost in 4 sets last year in AO to a 37 year old Djokovic in poor physical condition. He lost in straights to him in the Olympics. At least Sinner takes it the distance 😂, and at least he recovers quickly and comes back with a vengeance. That's mental strength.

@VeS_789 Alcaraz has more oscillating game but mentally and in longer matches he’s proven to be strong. There’s a statistic showing Sinner lost all matches going over 3 hours and something vs top guys. And he lost another 5 sets match vs 38yo Djokovic. He has less tactical options as well

@themustang10 @Zwxsh I'm not saying Jannik can't have a better career. The fact we are talking about it as a possibility now is crazy. He has more titles, more weeks at wn1, more masters, more atp finals, but in 2023 he had nothing while Carlos had 2 slams and 4 masters. No one saw this coming.

Carlos Alcaraz was finally over his early-career physical issues, but this kind of wrist injury is no joke. Jannik Sinner's durability might end up being the ultimate difference between them by the end of their careers. Let's hope that the rivalry is settled ON the court.
