We're trying our best to please as many people as we can, which is difficult when people have so many differing opinions on it. I hope you enjoy the animation when jts complete. @VenablesJonah @StudioGlove It's unsettling, is all. It's not Gough who's used but a different performance from a different actor who gave the part his stamp. I genuinely think it's not a good idea. Will still watch it, though.

@WeltAlexander @StudioGlove This animation is a labour of love, and we're trying to recapture the original story in the best way we can, whilst using what we already have, to help us. This is the best way we can achieve out goal of bringing the story to life, so this is what we're going with

@WeltAlexander @StudioGlove Not really a disservice I don't think. Baily did the performance for the audio drams because Gough passed away so he wasn't able to be used. In animation form, we can bring Gough into it. Bailys performance lives on through his voice, so i see it as being a service to them both.

@WeltAlexander @StudioGlove I like the idea of using Gough. The toymaker is presented as an older version of himself in the story and it makes sense to use him former face with an older look, as that was what was intended when the original script was written

@StudioGlove @VenablesJonah But the voice is not his. Ian Levine did this too, but I think it's a bad idea. Plus, it's better to respect the performance of the actor of the audible performance, in this case Bailey, and showcase him instead. Especially when the show itself implies he had the Gough only once.

looks like I got the UK Top 40 context wrong. I assumed sales was the same as streaming, which is understandable since I’m… not a commercial singer. It’s something I’m still proud of, and I’ll never understand the need to diminish someone’s work to make yourself feel good.

@axiochrono @DmanMj @DoctorWhoPN To be fair, I much prefer when it has links to politics without being so based in reality. Like how 'the daleks' is a perfect alagory for fascism and how racist views are nonsensical and wrong, yet it does it in a way where you understand the message, but the story is still fresh

Ncuti Gatwa to Radio Times: "I live in a very leftist, liberal bubble. In fact, there's a really great episode coming up next year where we lean into that." I'm guessing it has something to do do with 'Bigger Better Bolder Britain'.
