@LSXYZ9 @playnewworld Bro it was peak in 2021-2022, most unique pvp unlike any other game I’ve played before. 50vs50 wars were some of the most fun competitive play I’ve ever experienced, and actually taken fairly serious on the more competitive servers. Was so sad to see it die

A guy I worked with was one day talking about his hyper-religious upbringing and mentioned this same perspective out of no where “pedophilia is no different”. A year and a half later I found out he was convicted for SA’ing his own daughter for years, 30 years in prison

This reveals the core of anti-pedophile sentiment as being no different from anti-homosexual sentiment. Both are purportedly about the harm to individuals, but are actually about persecuting disfavored minorities. We should ban harmful things, not things we dislike in others.

Nobody likes political violence, but it’s kinda important to understand why some are rejoicing or even joking about this. When kids die in schools or marginalized groups suffer from the hateful rhetoric ppl like Charlie actively push each and every single day, the same empathy being demanded right now is absolutely nowhere to be found. People see that double standard and react with anger. You can call it ugly, but it’s human. I in no way am claiming that he had to die but we also cannot pretend that the ‘father’ card is going to simply erase the hateful ideas this guy has spread about certain groups.
