I've noticed a pattern of society shaming men for expressing their affection for adult women.
If a male celebrity’s DMs leak and he is discovered to have messaged girls that he liked, he is shamed for it, and the situation is painted as if he has committed a crime.
Even as an ordinary, non-celebrity male, whenever you have an issue with women, they release chats of you wooing them and try to shame you for doing exactly what a man should do.
By not addressing this, we’re setting a dangerous precedent because men’s careers and reputations will soon begin to take a hit for wooing grown-up women, even though nature and society have placed the responsibility of wooing women in the hands of men.

It’s funny how one simple online class exposed something deeper about Nigerian academia.
A student complained that the lecturer “doesn’t even know how to do online class” because network was messing up.
Normally, this is the part where a Nigerian lecturer switches off the mic, demands matric number, threatens carryover, and reminds you that “I have been teaching before you were born.”
But this lecturer didn’t choose violence.
Instead, he dropped one of the calmest, humblest responses I’ve ever seen from a lecturer in this country.
Just a kind man explaining the reality of Nigerian network, acknowledging students’ frustration, and still saying “I respect and value you all.” And this is EXACTLY why the tweet is blowing up. People aren’t reacting to the message, they’re reacting to the rarity.
A lecturer showing emotional intelligence in Nigeria? A lecturer staying calm under disrespect? A lecturer saying “please don’t be annoyed”?
Humans are more shocked by kindness in a place where they learned to expect hostility.
That’s why his humility hit harder than any clapback could. Former students even showed up saying this man has been consistent for YEARS; friendly, understanding, no surprise tests, greets students like human beings.
Imagine that. A lecturer that sees students as partners.
He accidentally became the national definition of “how lecturers should behave.” And honestly?
We weren’t ready.

@KatoProducer Streams don’t have a price.
They have a position.
That’s the difference.
