Jumbo has more or less stopped eating now. He can’t even stomach his fav 7-11 sausages and leaves them untouched. Tried Wagyu beef tonight. Went down a treat but then like all his food now came back up 30 seconds later. 😴 He’s tired now. The body is shutting down. He’s still comfortable and mobile but if the decision needs to be made it will. ⏰ There’s no exact science to this. I’ve found the dog always tells you when it’s time and makes it obvious. 🧑‍💻One bit of random advice for bosses / managers is to give people time off if their pets are on the way out. You might not be an animal person yourself but I promise you for people who are it’s one of the hardest things they’ll experience. A little time off or compassion will not be forgotten in a hurry. Jumbo is tired. I have a little anxiety from being on edge for him for couple of weeks. But we are totally happy as we go to sleep tonight. We are both exactly where we need to be right now. It was nice to give Derek a little send off. 🌳 His own heart shaped tree beside his beloved little suite where he lived 🥰 His humans scattered his ashes around the land as we wanted him to be everywhere with us in future 🎨 Some incredible tributes from around the world for him. It was only 14 months in the end Derek you left a lovely legacy. You wouldn’t be bothered about all the fuss as you were a quiet humble gent. I’m sad and miss you but I’m also happy we got to meet you

Moral da história? Há 15 anos, a Lagoa tinha 12.000 coliformes fecais por decilitro, agora, tem 700. Reduzimos a poluição de suas águas em 90%. E agora volta a fauna, voltam os frangos-d’água. Parabéns Moscatelli. Que surjam novos Moscatellis.

Excelente resultado. Os frangos-d’água se reproduzindo nas áreas que foram reincorporadas à Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas, projeto coordenado pelo meu eterno parceiro biólogo Mario Moscatelli.

This is Tinkerbell. We got the call about her just as the vets had closed for the holidays. When I got there she was barely alive and in severe shock. A hit and run 🛻 All I could do was comfort her until my friend Sybille (a doctor for humans) arrived. Luckily her life was saved in the passenger seat. She had a very touch and go last week of 2023 but little Tinkerbell is all good now. She’ll be looking for a home soon. She’s gentle, kind and Cindy is already helping her get her lost confidence back 🥰🙏

Foi só postar a notícia que a Europa estava com o inverno mais gelado do século, com a pergunta: “o que aconteceu com o aquecimento global?”e o exército petista de robots desceu da nuvem e me atacou com ofensas e repetindo quase as mesmas frases afirmando que eu não conhecia o assunto..!! Ora,não existe assunto mais badalado do que esse na mídia mundial (depois da COVID, é claro! ). Todo mundo debate a ideia assustadora de que subindo a média da temperatura mundial, o gelo ártico e as ilhas desaparecerão, o mar invadirá os litorais e a água salgada se espalhará pelos rios inviabilizando a agricultura, etc,etc… Constatar que o inverno está mais frio que a média histórica não é bom? Perguntar como fica o aquecimento global, não pode??
