@Sarah_Molyneaux @craig_burley Part of that may be because a law degree (unless perhaps you do clinic work) has everything to do with legal theory and zero to do with legal procedure. The rest, of course, is because procedural rules are often bizarre, irrational, or arbitrarily applied.

You would think The Law would be the primary barrier to self-representation, but I suspect that the procedural and administrative requirements are a larger barrier for a lot of people. Sometimes I, armed with my degree and experience, struggle to understand what's required!

@SeanBawden Just to make life more complicated, Mr. Mrs. and Miss. all need a period, while Ms (and presumably Mx) does not, technically, require one as it's not an abbreviation for anything.

Find/Replace is hard. I have a tendency to omit the period after "Mr", "Ms", etc. So, I thought I would be smart and just autocorrect to "Ms." A lot of words have "Ms" in them...

@TheLawofWork If the driver tosses you out, that would be refusing a service on the basis of religion ... which should be a winnable human rights complaint. If they just don't shut up, you have a choice to pay and leave or stay and listen ... imho no human rights complaint there.

Fun one: If I ask my Uber driver to shut up with the religious talk and he won’t or he tells me to get out, do I have a winnable human rights complaint? Why or why not?
