@VeveIndian @rohitshinde121 The reason anyone can pay "underpay" labour is because there is a labour surplus, the reason there is a labour surplus is because there aren't enough jobs for low skilled labour. Ergo you require the very people you curse to create jobs for low skiled which would have low wages.

We have a winner for "Did not think before commenting". If some chap in the "free market" could pay better wages, then why wouldn't he do so right now? The workers will simply start working for him. Why do businesses need to fail?

I see feminists and leftists raising their voices for factory workers, who happen to be mostly men. I don't see a single Men's Rights activist. For them, the working-class man isn't a person to be protected; he’s a shield. He’s only brought up to argue that the privilege doesn't exist: "How can men be privileged if this laborer is struggling?" But the moment that same man revolts against the state, he becomes inconvenient. Supporting him would mean challenging the hierarchies they actually rely on. The current wages make it mathematically impossible for a man to be a "provider," but they’d rather blame anyone else than the system that’s actually starving him.

@urbanjat001 @Aprameyah_ Minimum wage exists in plenty of countries in the world and don’t have any issue. Is India only able to survive on cheap labour exploitation? Which house help works for just 1 hr a day? Even if so, minimum shift for wage calculations shud start at 4 hrs to cover the commute.

@VeveIndian @Aprameyah_ Minimum wage causes unemployment. Stupidest thing ever. Also minimum wage is like 500rs per day for 8 Hours. A little less i think. So that is about 15,000 rs. House help works for 1 hour so divide by 8 about 2,000 rs per month. So that is apt then?
