Software engineering fundamentals are more important now than ever. I don't care what any influencer or CTO has said. Good fundamentals means you can direct AI to write more productive code for you. Bad fundamentals means your AI-written code will be a liability.

@TTrimoreau Funny story. Back in 2016, I get an investor to open a game studio. The guy is rich from manufacturing PVC pipes. Doesn't need to work anymore and wants to make games. I quit a great job as the dream is there. 3 months in, he fires everyone. Turns out it was dad's money.

@KaiXCreator I feel like openclaw is like an early dodge viper. Super powerfull, hard to control. I might be wrong, but here my analogy Open Claw = Linux, spend your weekend setting your printer up; Claude Code = Windows, install your printer driver. ???= just plug and print

The more I use OpenClaw, the more I think it's not just hype. The only thing limiting me now is the API costs.

@droidbuilds That is super interesting. The client will always espect something at 20k. Don't say I will do it for 2.5k. He has 20k of features in mind and will surely be disapointed once you deliver. Or he will be pain throughout development.

what would you do in this situation ?

@YashHustle_22 Don't know about pen and paper, but I'm 100% sure about making a TDD, a plan and/or prd. So marker and whiteboard, keyboard and gdoc, chalk and a stone ... do it.

Is it really necessary to write code on pen & paper before coding?

@aashatwt The paper ( the diploma ) never really served me. But learning out to structure, how to solve problem, how to continue to learn is my most valuable asset. I would do my engineering degree again.

claude is literally $20 and ppl spending thousands of dollars on cs degree is kinda crazy
