Proof that you can learn anything on the go I got my first 6 paying users for my first iOS app (I never built one before) Here's what happened:

I got a masterclass in B2C SaaS sales last week. From a merchant in Marrakech's Medina. In 10 minutes, this guy nearly got me to spend $100 on things I didn't need. 7 lessons he taught me without knowing it: 1/ No price tags. You can't judge value-for-money when there's no price. 2/ Split the decision-makers. He sent my wife browsing and kept me at the table. 3/ Any interest = intent to buy. I touched a lamp? Straight into a pile. 4/ Closed questions that assume the sale. "Large or small teapot?" Both answers meant purchase. 5/ Anchor high, discount your discount. He wrote $650. I wrote $330. He crossed it out and wrote $250. The anchor did all the work. 6/ Bundle everything. I wanted one ring. He refused to sell one item. Kept adding until saying no felt rude. 7/ Accept every payment method. My Amex on Apple Pay didn't go through. I played dumb. A $100 sale died on one unsupported combo. 950 years of trading DNA. And this guy nearly got me.

Interesting @exame @exame_noticias is also using my name and image to sell AI courses, seems many do it now, it's kinda flattering but also they never asked permission Do you think I should do something about this is or just ignore it? What's normal here?

Since then, I’ve been using LookAway: every 20 minutes it tells me to stop staring at Cursor for 20 seconds. It forces me to blink, which reduces eye strain, and sometimes I do 10 squats and burn a few calories 😇

✨ I revived my first AI startup from 6 years ago with Claude Code [ 💡 IdeasAI.com ] Back then it used GPT-3 (this was 2 years before ChatGPT existed!) to generate new startup ideas which then people can vote on And the best startup ideas rise to the top! Back then I made it because people complained they didn't have any ideas to build a startup This week I moved it to its own VPS and installed Claude Code and told it to fix everything, the DB had become big and there was stupid write operations on every page load that it made it very slow Claude Code is excellent at fixing all those small bugs from old projects and quickly fixing them As @garrytan says "boil the oceans" as in before I'd not have the time to fix these kinds of projects, it wouldn't be worth it, I mean IdeasAI doesn't even make money, but now it takes me an hour to do this and it works again! I also upgraded GPT-3 to @xAI's Grok 4.2 for new startup ideas

@DanKulkov I though dreaming about saas is a bad habit but then I met people who can't even dream so it's better than just settle anyway

turns out thinking about building profitable saas is much easier and more enjoyable than actually doing it wow

@levelsio I feel it's a balanced option between Thai/Indonesia and Singapore in terms of value/cost ratio

This is true, Kuala Lumpur has never been my favorite place (too religious for my tastes) But I cannot deny they somehow managed to get clean air unlike Thailand or Bali
