Yesterday I visited the @wisegroup_se in Airdrie and heard from Sean Donnelly, Maria Ruponen and Hilary Baxter how they help to lift families out of poverty through mentoring. They have an impressive record.

Humanising our Parliament and wider Institutions is such an important part of the job @PFOKane ! When I was in P7 we lined up outside Number 10 (road was open then) to have a look - to our shock the PM invited us into the Cabinet Room. Never to be forgotten.

Thanks to @reformscotland for the platform. Too many people experience services as a maze of conditions, referrals and missed opportunities. Poverty isn’t inevitable - but we have to design systems that help people out, not hold them in. Grateful to share our perspective.

I was pleased to visit to the @wisegroup_se exhibition in Parliament last week. The Wise Group's approach tackles the root causes of poverty - not just the symptoms. A lot can be learned from their Relational Mentoring model as we look to build an economy that works for everyone.

Great to meet the @wisegroup_se team and hear about their work tackling poverty at every level. From employability to energy support, their Relational Mentoring approach is creating real, sustainable change for individuals and communities across Scotland.

Very pleased to meet up with @wisegroup_se in Parliament. They are based in East End of Glasgow but work all over. I especially appreciate their focus on individuals and families as well as on the bigger picture.

We’ve spent our morning at The Thistles Centre, Stirling with pupils from @balfronhigh , singing Christmas Carols to shoppers and raising funds for Back Onside 💛 Thanks to the pupils' beautiful singing and generous donations from the public, we raised £169.05, which will help us to support people struggling with their mental health this festive season. Huge thank you to Balfron High School’s music department for organising this fundraiser, as part of our ongoing partnership with the school. Thank you also to the pupils who came along to support the charity with their singing. It is hugely appreciated! 🫶🏼
