@OOkappin She had time to grieve when she was transported countries away from her town. She’s spent more time with rudeus than her actual family of royalty who never even paid mind to her.

In season 1, and RIGHT BEFORE this scene, Iris (the red hair girl) learns that: ✅ her parents were killed ✅ her grandfather was executed ✅ her entire homeland got destroyed But instead of writing a humanly decent scene to show how Iris’ processed all this shock, sadness and her grieving process, the moment she sees Rudeus the next day she tells him “I want to have your kittens meow.” Her character was demeaned to one that can’t even grieve properly, written as an object who solely exists to satisfy Rudeus. That’s the case for all characters, all characters in Mushoko Tensei are written to fit into this specific fantasy that no matter what hardships get thrown at them, loving and worshipping Rudeus in some way is their main mission, that’s the purpose they were written for. Rudeus gets a whole emotional scene visiting his father’s grave but side characters don’t get that luxury, side characters don’t grieve, they unconditionally love Rudeus and if they grieve, it will be in the context of loving Rudeus. Do I even need to mention how this is a 37 year old mentally man with a 15y kid in this scene? The whole writing in this story made me sick
