Could we not focus on providing funds for assisted living first, please? More NHS beds, a National Care Service, social housing, lifting millions out of poverty - especially child poverty, increased disability aid and benefits, and mental health provision, especially CAMHS, and funds for end-of-life hospices? We need to be absolutely sure, as a society, that it is not deprivation of funding, nor the lack of political will to ensure that people can live their lives with dignity, respect and without suffering, that leads to the desire to take one's own life.
